there are green and white cards that boost then natural toughness of creatures. that makes it pretty easyb to play it. turn one drop a Llanowar, turn two play a plains then play the Veteran Armorer. and, maybe someother card that costs G, turn three play your 8/1 Trample, then keep dropping cards that boost defense. it helps everything you have, and keeps your inexpensive 8 trampler in play.
I think that that is a powerful card in GW, but, not too much else sadly.

I'd get that card just for the artwork. And yeah, Gaea's Anthem would make it a 9/1 for 3. If you had a Mass Hysteria or Fires of Yavimaya, that's one mean Ball Lightning. Screw Groundbreaker lol.
I want 4 of that card. Must have.

It takes too much to set up to be played all that much. It's quite a bit weaker than Groundbreaker and Timbermare in mono green haste aggro. It's smaller than Spectral Force in other builds of mono green (I compare it to the force because they both come out on turn 3 optimally). I can't see it doing all that much in competitive play.

I don't know, in a deck with all Elementals, with a Coat of Arms out, maybe one of these guys on a Soul Foundry... it's got potential.

It has potential, but I don't think this will be played seriously. It would be fun to make a deck to use this, and I know my friend will, but it doesn't seem that great.

I really don't think it's as bad as everyone is saying, all you have to do is pump up it's defense to one and manage to give it first strike (ad there's alot of equipment that can do that)

+ Chainer, Dementia Master - it is automatically black and gets +1/+1.
+Tolsimir Wolfsblood - +1/+1 for green
+Gaea's Anthem - +1/+1 for green.
+Spidersilk Armor - +0/+1 and can block flying.

Indeed. You don't have to have something in play to make it automatically beefed by one, you just have to have some way to give it an extra point of toughness before the rules check for it.

chaos.ultima.mage + Chainer, Dementia Master - it is automatically black and gets +1/+1. +Tolsimir Wolfsblood - +1/+1 for green +Gaea's Anthem - +1/+1 for green. +Spidersilk Armor - +0/+1 and can block flying. With Chainer and Wolfblood there's too much hastle, with Chainer you'd have to play the card as it, or discard it, or get it into your graveyard by some other means just to be able to use chainers affect to bring it into play and keep it there, and at that point you've just got a 9/1 and you've lost 3 life, plus you've changed it's color so any green cards that pump up other green cards no longer affect it. WIth wolfblood you've got to deal with the possible hasle of playing with 2 colors and not being able to bring it out to begin with, plus you're having to wait to put something out that costs 6 mana in all just to play something that's 3 and again, once you're done, you've still got a 9/1 that's easy to take out by any creature. That's why I'd strongly recomend using Peregrine Mask, No-dachi.Sparring Collar, or any of the low casting cost equipment that give first strike, you'll hav eno need for any real pump ups with them.
