There isn't much to say about the world of Ethiogrim these days... a few scattered cities, a single empire controlling it all, and everything is relatively peaceful. Well, that is, until Drake, a fisherman in one of the lesser-known towns, found an oddly-colored crystal... what happens next is all part of fate... as a group of friends, each with different skills, soon start to discover that this crystal is an important part of the past... AND future. RULES: 1. Follow guild AND gaia rules. 2. I'm god in this forum (unless the admins of the guild join) 3. PM me the profiles... that way, I can tell when someone is posting or not. 4. No cybering (duh) 5. I'm ALL the villains, unless someone WANTS to be one... but the villains are all premade... It was night, and Kelina raced out of her house to where Drake was sitting. "Hiya drake, whats up? Say, whatchya got there?" she asked, noticing the crystal he was holding. It was a kinda strange looking crystal, one she had never seen before. She had a feeling it would be useful in all sorts of spells, though. She wondered if maybe she could convince him to give it to her.

It was a kinda strange looking crystal, one she had never seen before. She had a feeling it would be useful in all sorts of spells, though. She wondered if maybe she could convince him to give it to her. "This? I dunno I was fishing and I caught it. Pretty sweet, huh?" asks Drake.

She really didn't like the idea of going to see Gaiatof, mainly because he was so much better at magic than she was, having been at it far longer than she had. Still, she didn't see where she had any choice, and maybe she could pick up something from him in thiose few minutes, like exactly what kind of crystal it was. Certian spells, she knew, required specific crystals. She'd never been able to get her hands on any crystal, of any type, before now. The crystal Drake had pulled up might be an even bigger treasure than she had first thought. "Ok. We'll go see him. But don't tell him what I do for a living, or what I want the crystal for, all right?"

He walked inside, and the sorcerer was working on a weird experiment. "Um, Lord Gaiatof?" asks Drake. Gaiatof looks up. He sees the crystal and his eyes widen. He strides over. "You... both of you, come with me!" says Gaitof, walking through a door abruptly.

Syla sat in the forest, her brown hair swaying slightly in the mild breeze as she worked on sharpening her blade and constructing a few word carvings. The flames flickered a midsummer orange as she embraced their warmth, her mind being pierced with images of pervious times she had spent by the fire light. Pausing with her work to control them so she could find out more about her lowly dated past.

Drake walks around the forest, remembering the words Gaiatof said: "This is no ordinary spell crystal... it holds magic of destruction beyond your dreams... come back tomorrow and I shall explain more!"
Drake ponders his words, then he sighs loudly.

Syla sighed and looked towards the flames, disappointed to have lost her train of thought, because of a rude sigh. Then she grasped her blade wondering if there was someone there. "Hello?" She called weakly, trying to test if there was someone there as she looked around the forest.
