and before anyone says it i realise hes the third coolest in the game
call me ...uuh... FFVII version of antichrist..but
Fave - sephiroth
second - cloud
third - vincent
(Yes we ALL love tifa/aerith, DONT say it)

Vincent is a completely optional character. He has no place in the story whatsoever really, except with him you flush out from the identity of Sephiroths father from the father himself late in the game: Hojo.

You can beat the game without both Yuffie and Vincent but they do have dialogue rest of the game.

you dont have to but u also get a summon materia if u do(odin if i remember correctly)

Realchaos0 you dont have to but u also get a summon materia if u do(odin if i remember correctly) you get odin along with the key from the vault...you can get odin and not get vincent I would suggest getting him cause by far his final limit is the coolest and worth getting(although kinda hard to do)

nope, you dont need vincent nor yuffie to beat the game...but they have thier own side quests and what not.

you don't NEED him, but I seriously reccomend getting him. (I'm not sure, but I think you can go back and get him still.....)

Yep I had access to the Northern Crater and was ready to go kick Sephiroth's a** for the last time, before I decided to go back and get Vincent on disk 3. That show's it is never too late to go back and get him.

It isn't a requirement, but he is one of the most powerful people in the game. You learn VITAL information about Sephiroth, well it's only vital if you actually care about knowing the truth abouth Sephiroth. And I always get him asap, he never leaves my party after I visit the Shinra mansion.

Like Can you beat the game without vincent HECK OF COURSE YEA but its not as cool without vincent ah heck you can even beat the game without yuffie but then agian i think yuffie is cool
