Hey everyone!
I know how much you all like this guild, but the truth is we have no captain (she quit Gaia for good ages ago), and I can't do all the things needed for this guild unless I have a captain's access to stuff.
SO, I am (along with The Emo Slayer) going to start a new guild, and it would just basically be this guild in a new location.
As the members of this guild I would like you all to give me input as to what the name should be, banner ideas, etc. I need to know this stuff before I create a new version of this guild....
I mean, the new guild would just be a new and improved version of Alternative Christian that would have a captain (me), and some co captains so we can better take care of everything around here.
So, please use this thread to post you thoughts and ideas! I will not be moving the guild until we all have a vote on the name and banners though.
So, get thinking folks!

Hmmm...
Well, I like the name, but maybe we should change it to something more detailed, so people will know what it's about. I don't know.. maybe the Gothic Christians Guild? *shrugs* Just a thought.
And we definitely need subforums. I'm not sure what of yet, but we definitely need some.

I don't really know if everyone in the guild is going to read this announcement or not. Maybe you should add a regular post in the forum too because many people have ignored the announcements since the rest of them are old posts.
Also, we should try to keep true to the cause of this guild. As for the name, how about something like Christians With Alternative Lifestyles? CWAL??? mrgreen

The black Jesus guild. ;P That's alternative, right?
Seriously, I have no idea why you'd want to change the name. Alternative Christians describes us prefectly. As for the banners, just use the current ones and relink them. You can easily disable the forums here, right?

Yes, unfortunately I can only do some copy/paste with the threads here and move them into the new guild once it's established and all.
Mods can't really do much besides let in new members/remove old ones, make announcements and stickies, and lock/unlock things.
As for the guild structure and whatnot I can't get into that, as
I don't have access to it. sweatdrop
Anyway, I'll make a normal thread so hopefully folks will read it...
Also, before I finish moving everything and establishing the new guild I will send out a PM to everyone I've seen posting in the past month or two and let them know we have moved. Infact, I will send it to most of the member-list just so they are informed. 3nodding

Since I'm the onlye one who voted for the "gothic" thing, I guess that's out. It's hard to come up with a new name because the name that we currently have really does describe the guild so well... Christians with Alternative Lifestlyles... I dunno about that one. The problem with going with something like "Gothic Christian" whatever is that there are already more than one of those guilds around. I've always wanted to make a "Vampire Christian Guild" but there seemed to be very little interest at the time.
Either way, whatever name you guys choose, I'll support the guild!

And it's also true that there are a lot of guilds that are named something along the lines of "Gothic Christian".
If people are confused as to the purpose of the guild then they should really be wise enough to ask what the name "Christians with Alternative Lifestyles" means or simply READ THE HOMEPAGE. I can't stress enough the fact that people don't read the guild's homepage all the way through before asking to join... I just wish more folks would.
Anyway, I think (by the majority vote it's gotten) we will be named Christians with Alternative Lifestyles" (sometimes called "CWAL" for short though). mrgreen Thanks for voting folks!

Alternative lifestyle is almost always used to describe homosexuality; therefore, using that name would make the guild sound like it's for gay christians only. and we definitely don't want all our threads to be "ONGZ BEING TEH GHEY IS RONGZ!!!!111oneone".

Does anyone have a better name then?
I'm not going to use Alternative Christian or Goth Christian though.
I understand gay people will take it that way.... but I don't have anything else to go on right now and I want to move this guild this week!
You do understand that if it comes down to it as a captain I will always be able to reset everything anyway?
Ok, then any more name ideas?
How about Alternative Christian Living?
What do you all say to that name?
