I noticed this thread was called art and poetry but there is no poetry so I will start it off. This is just a few of my poems they are about my daughter mostly because she is 4 and I have had more time to write about her, I have one about my son so I will post it here as well. biggrin

My Daughter
A new road ahead, a new sky to see.
That is what I am looking at today.
I have been given a new start in life.
My life is my daughter.
She is the sunin my day.
The moon in my night.

My love is never ending and never empty.
She is the most beautiful entity in this crazy world.
She is my world.

I sit here and see my son.
I sit here and see my future.
I sit here and see my love.
I sit here and see my past.
I sit here and wonder why I am so blessed.
I sit here, my son, my love, my last.
I sit here.

I am tired

We work every day to get ahead, to make our lives better.
I am tired.
We become obsessed with saving our money so we don't have to work when we are older.
I am tired.
We spend our lives working towards the future so we can enjoy it.
I am tired.
We have enough money, our bodies can't take it.
I am tired.
We never see the money we worked so hard for.
I am tired.
Our family makes sure we have flowers every spring and a shade tree to sleep under.
I am tired.
