What are webcomics, you might say? Webcomics are merley comics primarily published on the internet. That is all there is too it! For those who simply entered this guild for promises of gaming, the concept of Winter-een-mas is infact a holiday first introduced through a webcomic, Ctrl+Alt+Del.

I personally mostly read CAD as it has come to be known as, but I am more then willing to adventure into other series. No matter what, CAD will always be my home page lol

I would also like to give a shout out to "Hobo Joe", a forum buddy I met through Game HQ, a failed forum off of RuneHQ. 'Twas him who first introduced me too it.

CTRL+ALT+DEL

Site: http://www.cad-comic.com/comic.php
Author: Tim Buckley

Story: CAD centres around the lives of its main characters, all of whom are gamers. The comic has seen through various plotlines, including the relationship between Ethan and Lilah, the creation of Zeke the Xbox robot, Ethan gaining a job and the entire concept of Winter-een-mas. The comic also humourously points out flaws and other such features of many games, aswell as featuring random articles hosted by Chef Brian the random chef, or "the players", a group of phsychotic gamers who live together.

Characters:

Ethan is the gaming fanatic usualy responsible for the crazy antics throughout the series. Ethan has a vodka bottle for a guardian angel, is the creator and true king of Winter-eeen-mas and has been known to be irational, for example, sticking Command and Conquer 2 and 1 together with glue in order to obtain a copy of Tiberiun Wars 3. He is engaged to Lilah, and best friends with Lucas. He currently works at Gamers Haven, and although he showed faint interest in table-top strategy, gave up when he discovered a gaming alternative.

Lucas is Ethan's down to earth friend, usualy responcible for keeping Ethan out of trouble. He currently works at a computer store, where he and his fellow worker like making fun of the ignorant. He plays Warhammer 40,000, and has had a bit of bad luck in dating, having to get a restraining order against one and having another attempt to kill him on various occasions.

Lilah is the "girl who plays games". She entered the comic in its second year, and has found herself drawn to Ethan. She got engaged to him, and since then has quit her job to become a proffesional gamer, after coming third in a competition with her game partner, Jacob

Scott is the secretive web designer who appeared out of the blue, apparently the room mate for Ethan and Lucas. His room is blocked by a security vault, and he uses Linux. He is not much of a gamer, but practices meditation which has greatly advantaged him when playing. He has a pet penguin, Ted, and as a running joke very rarley has contact with Lilah, quite possibly to this day having no clue as to whom she is.

Zeke is the creation of Ethan, a robot made out of his Xbox. Zeke, short for Ezekiel, is a hybrid Xbox - 360 who talks, thinks, plays games and many other human activities. He is quite good at halo, so good infact that Ethan made his own robot hands to destroy his advantage. He has a crush on Ethan's gamecube, eats bandwidth and at one stage malfunctioned and attempted to kill off the main characters. A bump on the head turned him right, but as a result of falling debris he was destroyed, to be rebuild by Ethan using parts of his Xbox 360 console.

Other "Segments"
- Chef Brian segments involve a blonde chef named brian, and are basically series of random occourances, for example, a light bulb appearing out of his ear

- The "players" segments show the lives of four phsychotic gamers who all live under the one house

- Gaming Dictionary segments have popped up from time to time to humourously point out flaws in gamers, for example, noobs and those people who join a server only to exit because "there is not enough noobs to start a game within half a second of them entering"

xkcd

Site: http://www.xkcd.com/
Author: Randall Munroe

xkcd is a simple stick-figure webcomic, and seems to have no story line, rather is compiled of comics about maths, comics about sarcasm, love and romance, language etc.

Each comic is quite amusing, using clever paradoxes or using maths to portray something as simple as the urge to run up escalators.

Each comic also has the reacuring theme of tooltips: roll over it, and wait for the secret messege.

Hmm. Webcomics you say...? Well it's Rissa's turn now... to have another shot at telling joo people 'bout Commissioned!

Commissioned

Site: http://www.commissionedcomic.com/
Author: O (yes, O...)

Story:

Commissioned is mostly based around the lives of these four guys who play D&D. There are a few of their friends thrown in as well, and some segments with their RPCs, as well as a separate story known as Cyberpunk, which follows the exploits of two guys in the future, not to mention O's adventures with a vengeful, self proclaimed "1337" God.

Characters:

Main Characters

O is the cartoonist and main character of Commissioned. He has two cats, who cause chaos whenever possible, has a reputation of sucking at being a person, and is generally... weird. Oh, and he's a vegetarian. And that's just unnatural.

Carlos can be a bit dodgy. Well, really dodgy. His eyes shine with happiness at the thought of being "the world's biggest pervert". He plays an elf character when RPing.

Batey plays a dwarf, and is probably the the most "normal" out of the four Commissioned guys. There's not really a lot to say about him.

Cousin Al is a loser. The other blokes forget he exists a lot, and his character, Weretiger, is just as pathetic as him.

Other Characters

China Doll is a pretty Chinese girl who hangs around for some reason... She has a pet iguana.

CJ is the other female character in Commissioned, who doesn't feature all that often.

Gothshake is one of my personal favourite characters... He constantly bugs O about being Goth, and generally gets in the way. This is an early strip of Gothshake's first appearance. And a later one, just for fun.

The eraser is simply O's eraser! He's great! There are only a few strips featuring the little block of rubber, but they are solid gold.

This was today's strip... not a particularly good one, but you get the idea.
