Ai.ddicted Layouts

The site is still under construction, but critiques are based on design, not content, so I'm sure it won't be a problem. There's a few layouts I have made in the div/layers section, as well as in the myspace section, so take a look and critique! =]

Why do you only use one image for that layout? I would use 3 or more images for that.

Why did you use tables?

Interesting.

a) I wanted to see how the layout looked online when I first got started and used one image and afterwhile, I was too lazy to slice the image and settle for using just one image. I asked some friends and one person from Gaia and they said it was fine.

b) I can't figure out how to have the margins set up the way I want them without the tables (or maybe it was something else that went wrong..). Apparently, I'm too lazy (and busy at the moment) to figure out a way to get rid of that table and find out how to correctly place my images the right way. But that's for another day (or week).

Float or position your divs.
For your current layout a left margin should be fine.

Float is where you "float" a div. You basically position it. I think of it of making a div have more table like qualities.

BTW I would not call you div layout, div layout. You only used divs for the content the actual design is with tables.
