After a bit of thinking I came out to my mother a couple weeks ago, she seemed to handle it well enough, but things she said to me are going to be a problem later on. I would like some advice.
She said:
"Yeah some people are born that way, but it is still a choice"
"Bi is the same as gay"
"Please don't be bi"
She also mentioned the risk of AIDs, and the a**l sex, both of which I relise can be taken care of, but she obviously doesn't. And I told her I wasn't even interested in a**l sex, that it actually turned me off(I prefer oral, just didn't say that to her).
Generally she holds a more libral way of thinking, but not entirely in this area.

Well, it seems she is trying to look out for you, which most mothers do. I don't think a parent should tell a child of theirs not to be gay/bi though. She just wants to protect you from what gays/bis go through.

How did you break it to her? Was it just randomly out of nowhere?

Nah, I waited till everyone was gone, then sat her down for it, hoping to get the best response possible.

Your lucky to have bi and gay friends... all my friends down here are straight.
But you also seem to be in a much tighter situation...
