yeah i get the concept of RPing but have no idea where to start

you can't forget that there are rps in the public forums as well
if you want to meet some new friends and have fun rping then just create one there, eventually someone will see it and pm you to join or post that they want to join
if you want to start one then it would be veryhelpful to have a story background like i have 2 rps based kinda off of the fuedal era of japan
that would give a setting of area around and technology
then you create your character
its wise to always have a post in a forum you create labeled PROFILES
there you can tell people what you want them to give you before they start in the rp like name, age, race, weapons, armor etc. Anything actually that you think is neccesary.
Thirdly you need a post giving out rules for that spesific rp.
like of course the gaia tos but other stuff like no god moding, flaming, cybering, etc.
Now for people who don't do anything that the rules and guidlines state you should create a blacklist that shows who not to pay any attention to if the persist and keep rping after you told them they are out. that would be very helpful to newcomers who want to join late in the rp
join requests can come at any time and that is the exact time when they can join, even if you are in a battle in a fantasy rp, they can start and post that they like hear a noise and they want to check it out and they see fighting so they help out, anytime is a good time in my opinion
