At my school, we begin marching in August from 7 in the morning to 12 noon, and I live in Texas, so it's HOT!!! The percussion kids continue on until about 3 or 4 (9 hours! eek )
During school, we rehearse from 3 till 5:30 every day except Wednesday, and then we have our games on Friday, so we don't even go home that day.
Tiring, but I love every minute (hour) of it! xd
So, anyone else have a ridiculous practice schedule?

September- June, 5 hours every sunday.
June-August - 7am-9pm. Then sleep on the bus to our next housing location.

we have practice for 40 min. every day from 10:50 to 11:35

We have our first "practices" starting in May every Thursday for two hours, which are just the beginning, getting to know everyone and get the basics, practices, those go till June. Then we don't techinically start until August with band camp, then we have practice monday, wednesday, and friday until school starts. After that we practice every day for about 2 hours and on Saturdays for probably 7-8 hours.

before school starts we practice for 10-12 hours a day then once school starts we practice for two hours after school.

school time 3-5 (school nds at 224)

After band camp, the first couple of practices are from 8-11, then once school starts, it's 3-6 every Tuesday & Thursday with the occasional practice on Saturday. But that might change due to having a new director and all.

I guess our band gets off pretty easy. We pratice during our band period in the fall, so about 45 minutes every day.

Mini Band Camp: 7:30-12 noon
Band Camp: 8-5:30PM
Mondays and Wednesdays during the school year: 5:30-9PM
During Class: 12-1:45

[crimson~storm] - It sounds like you're in a Corps O_o. I don't think I could last that long.
Let's see...if this year is the same as last year...
Freshman Band Camp [I don't have to go this year, whee~....well, except for the last day.] 4-8 [Usually the week after school's out.]
Weekeend Camp [July] - Friday 12-9, Saturday 9-9, Sunday 12-9
Band/Hell Camp [j/k. August] - 12-9 from the 13th to the 30th.
Then Monday Night Practice - 6:30ish -9.
Wednesday and Thursday Afternoon Practice - 2:30 - 6:30ish...

in late May/ early June we have a 3 day camp which is from 8-12 AM, then in mid August until school starts its from 8-12 then 4:30-8:30PM. Once school starts, it's every day from 3:15-5:15 (though it's actually 3-5:30), and sometimes we go to Mercer stadium near here, from 4 to 6:30.

Ours aren't too bad.
Band Camp in late July or early August at our high school from 8am to 5pm daily [with sufficient breaks].
Then a weekly practice from 7pm - 9pm [usually on Monday or Tuesday] through October.
And during class every afternoon once school starts. Which is about an hour every day.
This year I think we'll be starting earlier though. Once the seniors leave at the end of the month, I think we're gonna start working on it during class for next year.

Pre-Band Camp: Week before last of July, 9-12
Band Camp: Last week of July, 9-9...with breaks for lunch and dinner
Practices: Start when school starts, around 1st or 2nd week of August, Times vary by day...but are mainly 4-6
Competitions: Every Saturday starting in September until State which is normally around the last week of October..this past season, state competition was in November... I live in Eastern KY and it starts to get cold around the end of October...

Our mini-band camp has already started at my school for the new fishies.
And we start either August or July 31. [ I seem to forgotten]
Mini-band camp-3:15 to 5:30
Actual band camp July/August? 31 morning practice 7 to 11 and afternoon practice 1 to 3
Texas made this new law for our friggin district, and so our first football game is on the very first week of school.
D;
Stupid time.

Our school starts in july and practice are 5-7 pm on week days and 8-12 on weekends! (Except percussin, like me, we stay until 9 week days and 4 week ends! our Drum Tech guy is an a**)
