Lavender Town at one time had the Pokémon Tower, which was the only place where one can catch a Gastly in Kanto. It was one of the smallest towns in the region with a population of only 33 people, including the kindly Mr. Fuji, and is believed to still be heavily haunted by Ghost Pokémon.

Later, Lavender town grew in size, and the Radio Tower replaced the Pokemon Tower, and the graves of all the pokemon were moved to an underground area. These days, Lavender town is a pretty bustling little town, with more jobs due to the radio tower, and other establishments.

Lavender Town has no Gym.
