The starting point of many a Pokemon journey, Pallet Town was where many trainers from the Kanto region, and nearby regions, could go to receive their starting Pokemon from Professor Oak.

At one point, the only real point of interest in Pallet Town was Oak's Pokemon lab, where the good professor spent his days compiling data on Pokemon sent to him by various trainers to whom he had given a Pokedex. He also owned several acres of land directly behind his lab, where he kept some trainers' overflow Pokemon, and allowed injured Pokemon to recuperate.

These days, Pallet Town is a little bigger, but still a very small town. The current Pokemon lab, much more up to date than Oak's was during its time, is run by Professor Elise Acacia. Professor Acacia is a quiet but intense woman, usually in a labcoat and glasses, and carrying a clipboard with her. She has short black hair, and seems to be in her early thirties. She may be beautiful under the labcoat, but she never seems to take it off.

Pallet Town does not have a Gym.
