Near the east side of Cerulean City, one will find Cerulean City Gym. Like the other Gyms in Kanto, this Gym has remained largely unchanged since it received its new caretaker. The few changes include the removal of the pool in the actual battle area, to facilitate the fact that Cerulean's new Gym Leader does not use the Water type.

Mutsumi Otohime, Cerulean's new Gym Leader, is a kind soul more concerned with the welfare of those around her than with battling. She has a carefree, slightly-naive optimistic outlook on things, and is prone to anemic fainting spells. Don't take her for granted, however; she's still more than capable of thrashing unwary challengers.
