Love 'em or hate 'em, they're here to stay! xd
With that being said, discuss Episodes 1-3 here. Likes, dislikes, and all that groovy stuff.
No flaming allowed.

Not a flame: Meh, the are nothing in the shadow of the original trilogy, but decent sci-fi movies in their own right.

Fanto Not a flame: Meh, the are nothing in the shadow of the original trilogy, but decent sci-fi movies in their own right. True, true. I prefer the original, as well. Only good thing about this one is the advance in current technology, and I don't mean computer. If they had done it the old fashioned way today, it would be just as good as the original. Realistic, y'know.

I'm a child of the eighties so I love the old ones. But these do have merit. They are excellent feets of technology and the general plot is good. The love story was handled all wrong. I think my favorite was the costumes though. I love the fashions that Trisha Bigger designed. That's why I did a paper on them.

How Padme always had a different robe on? Wonderful.

My opinions:
Episode 1 is meh. I mean, it's just such... filler. I suppose it's entertaining enough, but very little of consequence to the universe actually happens in that movie. (I still love the podrace, though- it just never gets old.)
Episode 2 would be good, if the acting didn't suck like a leech.
Episode 3 is just awesome. It justifies the first two's existence, partly because it wouldn't work quite so well without the backstory, and partly because this was the movie we'd been waiting to see ever since the prequels were first announced (hope that makes sense; I'm tired ^_^; ).

I liked ep. II just for the cute Kaminonians... (sentients of kamino) and the huge arena scene when the Jedi jumped down from the bleachers and helped fight off the army of droids, that got me excited, and when yoda fought it was ofcoarce very cute!

That scene was probably the best "whoa cool" moment in all the prequels. Maybe even the entire series! biggrin

For the past couple of weeks they were playing the Star Wars series constantly on Cinamax. Last week my husband was watching them like they were going out of style. Anyways he was downstairs starting some laundry and then I heard him come bounding up the stairs and go "awww shiiiiit" I thought my daughter had done something distructive, made a mess, etc and I was like "What Happened?!?!" and he was like "I missed Yoda going ape s**t"

Many people said they liked Episode 3, but I really didn't like it. First of all the whole R2 being suddenly mobile and crazy was out of character (that was minor though). My real problem was it was just so dark and depressing. I didn't enjoy watching what was going on at all. Some things are better to hear about rather than witness in my opinion. neutral

I disagree with you slighty, although I believe ep. III is way over rated as people make it out to be, I believe the dark depressing side of it is what made it so popular and shown what everyone wanted to see for the third episode!
