Some tasty new progressive for everyone to savor. These guys haven't even put out an album, yet their four-track self-produced demo is over a half-hour long. Give 'em a recording studio, and I'm sure they'll put out a quality release. To those that haven't heard 'em, you can download the MP3's from their page on Metal Observer here. To those that have...opinions?

the vocals sound a bit off key, a little underdeveloped... the snare drum recording sounds like s**t...
but everything else is fantastic! progressive power metal, ftw! heart
Illusion of Clarity gets a 7.5/10, in my book :]

They recorded it on a Mac, what do you want? xd But I thought the vocals could use some development, too. They kinda desynch from the music at some points.
Faceless wins. 3nodding

A G4, even. rolleyes You can read the rest of the info in the article I linked to in order to better inform yourself.
*listens intently* I...I...I don't even know. xp But I guess that's progressive metal for you. xd Personally, I'm quite partial to the intro and outro to Legacy of a Cold Heart. Yeah, I know they're acoustic.

"Playing acoustic is totally lame and not metal!" xd
Blargh, I know. It's just that the lyrics and guitar faintly remind me of Pink Floyd there, The Wall in particular. xp

i think you're right, there isn't much more to be said about Illusion of Clarity. they're great, but there's always room for improvement.
...no, not by choice. gonk i want to see it so badly.
i've been reading Frank Miller graphic novels for years. they're making a movie for The Watchmen! blaugh

THRILL SEEKER it's a quote from Nathan Explosion, of Dethklok, from the show METALOCALYPSE, on [adult swim]. xD of course of the best metal songs are acoustic. In Flames' "Pallar Anders Visa"! Thank you for the save, Mr. Thrill Seeker. I take liberties with your caps. xd
And, yes, I was just quoting. Acoustic definitely has a place in metal. My personal favorite has to be Iced Earth's instrumental Solitude. whee Though I'm currently amazed by the intro to Into Eternity's Surrounded By Night.
