Yes, this is a rip-off of that game 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon (I did not invent either of them)
The point of the game is to connect another anime character to Edward Elric in 6 or less steps using animes, mangas, video games, voice actors, studios, directors, and companies.
There are only 3 rules: 1) They must be ligitimate connections that can be easily looked up and verified. 2) Do not take some else's and simply add a step(s). 3) Anime or video game connections only. Do not throw in non-anime movies, shows, or literature.
Ex: Dark Mousey to E.E.
Dark is played by Vic Mignona who also plays Edward Elric. Dark to Edward in 1 degree. (See post #3 for more examples.)
Think you can do better? Well then show us your anime knowledge skills.
For those who can get all 6 degrees, you may win a prize.

Loki-- under-estimated because he is young; he's extremely intelligent, and loves to tease.
Edward-- whom we should adore, also under-esimated because he's young, he's smart, but doesn't use it to his full potential when it's really needed; they both love to tease.
Loki --> Edward in one degree~

No, you have to make connections using animes, video games, voice actors, directors, studios and anime/game companies. Here, I'll give you another example.
Amelia from Slayers to Edward Elric:
Amealia is played by Luci Christian in Slayers premium
Luci Christian also plays Haruko Kamio in Air, in which Vic is the voice actor for the main character, Yukito Kunisaki.
Vic also plays the voice of Edward Elric.
Amelia to Ed in 3 degrees.
Here's a harder one:
Naruto to Ed
Naruto is in the same anime as Gaara
Gaara is played by Liam O' Brian
Liam plays in Ergo proxy with Travis Willingham
Travis plays Roy Mustang, who's in FMA with Ed
Naruto to Ed in 4 degrees.

lemme try
Uhm Rumiko Takahashi (manga-ka of inuyasha,Ranma1/2 etc.) to edward Elric
Rumiko Takahashi wrote Inuyasha
which has an anime based on the manga in which Scott Mc Niel plays Koga
Scott McNiel is Hohenheim in Fullmetal Alchemist
who is the Father of Edward Elric ^^
so thats
Rumiko Takahashi
to Scott McNiel
to Hohenhiem
to Ed thats.... Four degrees or is it two not counting Ed and Takahashi

Spike Spiegel to Ed Elrich.
Spike Spiegel of Cowboy Bebop was voiced by Steve Blum.
Steve also voiced Vincent Arthai in Last Exile.
He was joined by Johnny Yong Bosch who voiced Claus Valca.
Johnny leads Bleach as Ichigo Kurosaki.
Ichigo engages Ikkaku Madarame in battle, who was voiced by Vic Mignogna.
Vic is famous for voicing Edward Elrich.
Spike to Ed in 6 degrees.
Here's another I came across while I was researching the above.
Sinner Chrno to Ed Elrich.
Chrno from Chrno Crusade was voiced by Greg Ayers.
Greg had the honor of voicing Pope Allesandro in Trinity Blood.
He was joined by Vic Mignogna who played Virgil Walsh.
Vic also voices Ed Elrich.
Chrno to Ed in 4 degrees.
