It seemed like forever since Cody had been allowed to go outside on his own. For the longest time his home had been the hospital room that he, Keanu, and Paxton shared after the incident. There were few visitors aside from some of the D-corp staff and their guardians so the young bull boy was eager to get out and get back into his social life. As always, his first destination was the public park. He'd always liked playing there. Either shoving other kids off the tires in a friendly game of 'king of the hill', trying to push them into the fountain, or growing frustrated over counting to thirty during a game of hide-and-seek.
He'd never seen a spring before so the trees being covered in what looked like big puffs of pink and white was a bit new for him. Now and then the wind would pick up and send what looked like a blizzard of the petals over the playground. He snorted a bit as some drifted past his face, shaking his head a bit to clear them off.
For the moment he sat himself on a swing- straddling the chain and swinging back and forth like that. He was a bit groggy still, just a few minutes ago he was waking up and barreling through the front doors of their home, very likely waking Edan up. Other than obviously having grown a little bit the only real differences to given note to were the length of his hair and a black eye patch over one of his eyes.

Zyanya sat underneath one of the many flowering trees, watching as the wind caused the petals rain down around her. It had been a while since she had been her, last time she had been with Ter, but today she was alone. The mantis girl looked older, budding into womanhood, her hair long and straight, her pale eyes large and ever watchful.
She was wearing her usual punk like clothing. Black tank, short shorts with chains dangling around the belt line, she wore sandals today, the weather looked perfect for it.
Truth be told, though she liked her punky image she was right now meditating under that tree, humming a soft song that she had recently heard on the radio earlier that morning. She did have her softer girlier side it seemed. Taking a breath she immediately recognized the taller but most definitely the ring nosed bull boy from her child hood. Blinking she stood up, not bothering to dust herself off from the petals that had strayed into her hair as she walked towards him.
"Cody?" she asked, thinking back to how he had told her about ninjas.

The bull boy jumped slightly, turning his head towards the sound. With his patched eye having been facing her she kind of snuck up on him. He'd have to get used to that whole deal... "Tarnation ya scared me more witless an' a jackrabbit."
He reconized the girl, it didn't seem all that long ago that he'd seen her actually. She'd been shorter there, had kind of a funny way of talking, and had some weird thing about touching his horns. "Ya lookin' good." He smiled a bit as he made his way casually over. He was still in shorts, ripped and rubbed up towards the end just past his knees. No shirt to speak of still, only a worn-down leather vest and, of course, his ever-present cowboy hat.

Giving a tilt of her head she looked at Cody and wondered what happened to his eye...she then smiled at his comment.
"Thought you weren't scared of nothin." she teased as he approached, and she had to wonder...did guys just not wear shirts? She wondered if she could get away with it...and knwe instantly the answer was no...
Blowing some hair out of her eyes she reached up to pu t a hand on on of his horns. Her weight pulling slightly and a laugh escaped her throat. "Still think these things are awesome." she commented as she then released it and strode a pace away. Taller...and something about her read a seriousness about her that could make her fairly scary, but she was relaxed so there was no trace of it now.
She looked over to him and couldn't help but ask. "Where have you been? I always come here lookin for you." she replied with a pout.

"Startled more th' word fer it." He cleared his throat, a bit embarassed. "I wasn't really scared, I don't get scared o' nothin'." Perhaps he was... now he coudln't imagine anything worse than seeing those two men again. It made his blood boil but at the same time it made him feel small, almost helpless. He didn't like the feeling and snorted around his nosering again to clear his head of such thoughts.
The touch to his horns brought a kind of goofy smile to his face, "Well thank ya' kindly little lady." He reached up to tip his hat a bit, "They're gettin' bigger. Not big 'nuf tah really use 'em tah make th' bad guys hurt but 'nuff tah stick outta mah hat a bit more I reckon. Yer not lookin' bad yerself."
He tipped his head as she stepped away, kind of giving her the look over. He was starting to see girls in a different way- and hot damn he liked it. She did have a nice body, nice slender frame and that dangerousness to her that kind of brought him to wondering about a few things he probabily shouldn't have been. The question caught him off guard and he quickly looked away, pretending to be casual about everything.
"Ooh I uh...", he cleared his throat and folded his arms over his chest, puffing it out a bit, "I was jus' recoverin' from a big fight. Keanu, Paxton, an' I stood up tah th' guys that came an' offed Allen you know. We woulda had 'em too if we had our weapons on us!"

Refraining from blushing she only let out a small laugh at his compliment. She sure did like having her ego stroked. She looked back at him with a impish twinkle in her eyes. It was cute to seem him a bit flustered, showing that he wasn't scared of nothing. She wonder how she could get him to prove it.
"I'm not scared of anything either." she boasted the claim though she did fear her ma when she got angry, but who wouldn't?
"Your horns once their are full sized will make your best weapons." she commented thinking about them, they were much more useful she found than her own apendages. How was she suppose to use her arm barbs? Elbow someone to death? She guesed it would prevent someone trying to lock her arms down.
"Your were in a fight?" she asked looking at him with questioning eyes. "What weapons do you use? I never met Paxton or Keanu before.." she trailed off wondering if those two guys would give her such nice compliments as well.

"Not scared o' nothin' neither eh?" He tipped his head a bit and followed along behind her, raising his brows a bit, "Thas' good. Lotsa girls is scared o' stuff. Das why there's boys 'round. We gotta make sure nothin' happens tah th' ones that is scared." He paused, adding an after though, "'course there is lotsa boys that is scared too... like Leigea, he's scrawny an' kinda a light weight. I take 'em down every time I see 'em. Maybe das why there's some not-scared girls." He shrugged. Now he was just rambling...
"Aw shucks mah horns'll be fine an' dandy but I wanna get tah usin' a gun an' get real good at usin' mah fists. Sometimes ya get caught unarmed." He threw a fist into his palm, smirking a bit, "We didn't have no weapons when th' baddies came 'round. We was goin' tah D-corp tah find them punks an' they found us. Used guns." He tapped the side of his head close to the eyepatch, "Lost me my eye. Keanu got capped real good in th' chest an' knee. Paxton's a lightweight too, got himself waxed right intah th' wall 'e did. 'E was out for days, Keanu an' I threw stuff over 'em while 'e was sleepin' in th' hospital." He chuckled a bit. It wasn't the nicest game to play considering their friend's state but damned funny.

Of course she wasn't frightened of anything. Just by looking at her most people left her alone. Sh was usually the one saring people off unententually. Girls were usually scared? She didn't have many girl friends...in fact now that she thought about it....most of her friends were guys.
She nodded her head in agreement about Ligeia, he was a light weight...and too girly for a guy that was for sure. She didn't mind his ramblnig, it was nice to have someone else do the talking for a change.
"I will never rely on anything but my own body when it comes to a fight." she boasted with a half snort, "Guns are cool but when you run out of bullets your toast or if the bloody thing malfunctions...your also toast." she continued, but this was something she was easy to say, she had built in weapons...so it was a bit unfair of her to judge in such a way.
She listened to what Cody described as their fight against people in D-corp and wondered what exactly had gone on in there. "Well has it been hard to adjust your depth perseption since you lost your eye?"

"Relyin' on yerself- ain't nothin' wrong with that none." He agreed with a grin and a nod, "Guns is good if ya can cap off a few fellahs a'fore they get tah ya. Save 'em from yer fists one thing. If ya run outta bullets well das just too bad fer them. Gotta pound 'em up the hard way." He chuckled a bit but it faded at her last statement.
Cody's ears drooped a bit as he kind of glanced off to the side. "...Eh...ye..yeah I been kinda... runnin' intah things an' things'a been gettin' close tah me an' startlin' me up." He shook his head a bit and let out a bit of a grunt. "It ain't gonna slow me up none. I'll do 'em good what th did a' me!" He was very obviously worked up on the topic.

Zyanya moved back to Cody only to drap a arm chumly around his shoulders, a serious look on her face as she gave him a wag of her finger.
"Don't be down, you will adjust to that, and besides that eye patch makes you look bad a**." she said with a firm nod of her head, the weight of her arm still draped around his shoulders in a very boyish fashion.
"you could rough house with me for a while if you wanted. That way you can get use to your new vision." she suggested with a wink to him, she was standing on his good eye side so that he could see her trying to cheer him up.
"i am not as frail as I look." she continued her side legs coming up and encircling around Cody's side like in a very odd and awkward hug.

"I ain't down." He snorted, lifting his head up, "I jus' kinda disappointed is all. Th' doc's makin' me check in more tah make sure my other eye don't go out too. Said it happens sometimes, one eye gets blinded or gone an' the other goes ahead an' copies it sometimes. I'm tellin' ya when I get ahold o' the guy that up and did this tah me, Keanu, an' Paxy..." He slammed a fist into his open palm, grinding at it a bit, "I'mma gonna rip that yellah backbone right outta 'is back end 'an hog tie 'em with it I reckon."
At her suggestion he kind of double-took himself. For how tense and angry he'd looked just a second ago, now he looked almost silly. Both arms fell slack to his sides and both ears completely dropped as if they'd lost all feeling in them, "...ya...wanna brawl? I...I dunno. It ain't right tah hit a lady. Not gentlemen-like ya know... I get Keanu all kindsa bruised up. I don't mind bein' hit 'round a bit. I can take a whoopin' but it jus' don't feel right none."

For once Zyan felt a bit angry, lady??? Her?? Frowning she gave him a look of annoyance and then pulled away from him folding her arms in front of her chest as she moved away.
"Arg...you guys are all the same..." she started her tone mildly angry though mostly annoyed. She turned to face Cody her eyes narrowed in a scowl.
"yur a girl i cants hits you." she said mockingly. "what happens if a girl comes to kick your butt? your just gonna let her?" she asked with a point of her hand towards him. If he wasn't going to start the brawl she would.

The bull boy looked even more confused than before, kind of standing there starring at her with a hopeless look on his face. Quite frankly he wasn't sure... he'd never thought a girl -would- start a fight with him, or want to for that matter. Girls were girls, boys were boys. That was that. He already made a mental note to kick the tar out of any boy that tried to act otherwise- but a girl? He still couldn't bring himself to even think of brawling with a girl Even if she brought it on, he didn't know his own strength sometimes.
"I didn't mean nothin' by it!" He put his hands up, kind of waving them in front of him, "I jus' never wanna hit no girl. Girls is girls an' yer real purty, I don't wanna mess ya up or nothin'!"
Not to say she couldn't defend herself- he was sure she could...but she looked so delicate and fragile.

Zyan had to mask her blush at his compliment by putting her hand up to cover her face in an exasperated gesture. Girls are girls?
"Then think of me as guy." she stated taking an elastic band off her wrist and then tying her hair back fiarly tightly. She was still fairly flat chested thus with the right attitude, shifting her body weight and standing in more of a manner of guys, she could of passed for a young boy. Maybe...okay not really but she was trying. The fact seh was wearing makeup didn't help.
"If we ever have to spar together I won't go easy on you." she continued in a matter of fact tone. "My brother has ben in many melee classes and I intend to fight as many boys as I can." She continued. She hated feeling as if she was weak just because of her gender. She would pummel all boys that thought she couldn't fight.

"Naw, I don't wanna go an' think o' ya as a guy, jus' ain't right fer a gentlemen tah go an' pound on no purty lady like dat..." He scuffed a hoof through the dirt slightly. It was just one of those peeves of his. Something he just couldn't possibly imagine doing. Even if she were to attack him he'd hesitate. It wasn't exactally smart either... if she'd been an enemy out to hurt someone could he fight her?
"Ya aren't mad or nuffin' are ya?" He looked up again, kind of keeping his eyes barely peeked out from the rim of his hat.
