I'm making a bow jester, and I've noticed a LOT of people have a nasty attitude/no respect towards people who are bow jesters.
Whats wrong with being a bow jester? o.o
Personally, I'm a crit fanatic. I love crits (I blame having a crit sin on RO for that one) I love speed, and I love dex! So bow jester is definately a class that appeals to me. I just dont know why most people say that bow jesters are automatically "assholes" and need to be nerfed.
When leveling with my boyfriend (who was on his BJ at the time) we were fighting the giant carrier. Some BP came up to him and said he deserved to die because he was a bow jester. neutral Wtf is up with that? What is your opinion of bow jesters?

I personally dislike BJs because they essentially exploit a semi-glitch. You could call it smart playing or whatever, but it's just full DEX, expensive equips, and point-and-click. I guess if you just want to make money, go crit-crazy, and use no skills at all, then be my guest.
I don't have too much respect for them, though -- it's lazy, unskilled, and unoriginal. Nerfing? Naw, BJs seem to do wonders for the economy (namely acro equips up through 60), like making G-Bows worth 60m on Glaphan... It makes somebody rich, I suppose.
EDIT: Also, there's no need to nerf BJs because they nerf themselves simply by choosing the class -- they gain no additional skills or anything at class change, they only get the crit rate... period.
Overall, what class you choose is just that, your choice. Do it and don't give a crap what people say/think. RMs will still love ya', you'll be rich, and it'll all be just fine. I'm staying away from making a BJ for now, but who knows, maybe I'll cave and want to make myself rich, I wouldn't mind the extra money.
LOL, I rant so much, but I'll just try to come up with a final word. I don't have much respect for BJs because the build isn't that clever, they are completely equipment reliant, and there isn't much to be done in the way of decision making while in combat, etc. Not a big fan of 'em, but if that's the road you want to choose, go nuts with it xD
