The roof of the dormitory buildings is a flat area, devoid of anything. ...minus, of course, the large blue police box called the TARDIS. Within this small box the size of a phone booth, a large area appears. It's larger on the inside. But don't be startled by that alone - a large copper console stands in the center of the room, surrounded by cables danging from the ceiling. A coat rack lies to the left of the door, with a lone, light blue jacket hanging there, like its owner will be coming back for it any time... A bright bluish green pump rests above the controls, and only moves when the ship is taking flight, complete with loud 'whrrrrrrr'ing noises. The console of the machine, the controls for flight, are assorted and random, ranging from a bicycle pump to intricate and obviously alien controls written in a (seemingly - the Doctor understands it just fine) incomprehensible language. This incomprehensible, very mathematical, and very beautifully spoken language is the Doctor's native tongue - a language that, without the ship and it's powers of translation, (it translates every language ever written or spoke or even thought of!), would be the only language the Doctor could understand and converse in, leaving him unequivocally stuck. Rooms exit off in a few directions, leading to several thousand rooms, (the ship can be as infinitely large as it wishes, moving rooms to and fro as needed), including bedrooms for companions and one for the Doctor himself.

The Doctor's room is very simple. The metal walls and floor are just like the main console room. A simple bunk is attached to the wall on one of its longer sides, with simple white sheets, a patchwork quilt that looked very worn indeed, and a few pillows, in white cases as well. There were mementos all over the walls and on shelves, including splotchy, old yellow photos of what appeared to be family, long since gone. On a frame beside the bed, there's a small photo, taken on a camera phone and blown up, of himself and Rose Tyler. The photo, taken at Christmas time on a snowy night looked as if it had been handled with care, yet worn never the less. No one goes in there but the Doctor.

The TARDIS' wardrobe can be found by by going from the console room to the "first left, second right, third on the left, go straight ahead, under the stairs, past the bins, fifth door on your left." The wardrobe contains clothing from every time period imaginable. There's a full-length mirror for trying on clothes, and the spiral staircase goes in either direction for what seems to be ages.

It's all very metallic and cold, yet...warm. Alive. Like the Doctor's very presence on the ship makes things less daunting. Which really isn't saying much, but it helps those who first venture aboard. And, by the by, you really don't want to see what sort of security systems she's got - they're an absolute shocker. Mind, she shocks the Doctor whenever he sets about to tinker and fix the circuitry, so don't read too much into that!

The Doctor burst through the door on the roof to see the debris settling on the ground again. He stared at the TARDIS, seemingly unharmed, and then at Glissa. "What the hell was that?!"

Austin came through the door after Doc, panting just a little bit. Despite the fact the Doc had no idea where he was going, somehow he'd found his way up here. He sighed after a minute, looking at the TARDIS. Wondering what made that thump, he inquired in a calm fashion.
"What happened headmistress?"

Glissa turned to look at the two of them, a 'What? I didn't do anything' look on her face.

"It made a thud when I set it down. Nuttin wrong with that."

Austin seemedSkeptical at first, but quickly let that melt away. After all, there wasnt any relative damage to the ship. At least, none he could see. So he simply dusted the dirt off of his jeans with a smile, then looked at Doc.
"Well, at least it didn't fall apart."

"The outside is near indestructible. The combined forces of Attila the Hun couldn't get through those doors...and, believe me, they tried." He said to Austin, a slight cringe in his voice. "It's the inside I'm worried about." The Doctor walked up to the ship and inserted his key, twisting the lock, and opening the door.

There was a bit more smoke than there had been before, and he was sure that a few more panels had popped out of place, but it appeared as if it was entirely repairable. He turned and grinned that them. "Looks like no harm done. Well, no real harm anyway." He wandered inside to get a closer look at everything and to begin tinkering, pulling out his sonic screwdriver as he walked up the ramp.

"May i come in?"
Austin wavered at the door hopefully, wondering if there was something he could do.
"So i can help. Or..stand around. Or something. I just woluld like a look-see!"

The Doctor whirled around, eying Austin. "Sure, why not?" He nodded, leaning against the railing just inside the doors and waiting for the boy to come in.

"Welcome to the TARDIS."

Austin promptly entered the TARDIS, looking around.
"heh...You know, it looks bigger from the outside."
He remarked with a positive hint of sarcasm. He went in a circle around th emain console, looking around a bit.
" Seems nice. Where'd you pick her up, if you dont mind my asking?

The Doctor laughed, walking to join Austin on the main platform. "She was grown on my home planet, actually." A twinge of sadness crossed his eyes, but never his face - a perfect mask. "She's the only one left, though." He murmured.

But then he perked up, grinning at Austin. The Doctor literally bounced around the circular console, tracing his hand along the metal, nearly running into the seat off to the side as he spoke, "She's fantastic though, takes you anywhere you want to go, any time you'd like." A loud crash reverberated throughout the room.

"...that is," He added. "When she's not falling apart."

He set about sticking his head underneath the panels, murmuring something about "percussive maintenance". He pointed his screwdriver at several things, the buzzing sound and the eerie blue light filling the area. The Doctor seemed to have forgotten the boy was there, since he said no more than those last sentences.

Glissa leaned against the door frame, peering into the Tardis. She let out a low whistle.

"Wow. Now that's a fancy hunk of metal. It'd look even better if it wasn't fallin apart and was all shined up." She reached over to the first panel and began rubbing it, which made it promptly fall to the floor with a loud clatter.

The Doctor popped up from the circuits he was working with. "Yeah, she's fantastic when she's working." He ignored the panel she had accidentally knocked down - it wasn't the first time it had happened, and it sure as hell wouldn't be the last - and instead opened up one of the floor grates. "Well, I'm going to set about working under here." He placed the sonic screwdriver in between his teeth and grinned. "Youph cn hng 'rund if y' lke." He garbled out before lowering himself down into the cabled mess.

"Na. I should get some more sleep. I feel like I've just run the gauntlet." Glissa scratched at the bare skin of her stomach, completely oblivious to the gaping hole in her dress in the front and back and the fact that her skin was a few shades more red there. The epic battle just the previous night had apparently slipped her mind.

"I'm off then." She walked out of the tardis and over to the edge of the roof, jumping off and disappearing silently.

The Doctor gave a wave to Glissa with his free hand - though, he doubted she saw it - and then resumed working. If that boy Austin didn't say something soon, he was fairly sure he'd send him on a pointless errand so he could go about clanking and clinkering without the body in the way.

Austin was tracing his fingers along the edges of the walls, taking in the grooves and bolts with great interest. Suddenly, he felt the focus direct itself onto him, and he spun around.
"?...Sorry. Was just admiring her. She's a magnificent piece of work."
He walked over to the doctor.
"I'd like to give you a work force. Many men get more done than do a single one."
With that, he reached down to lightly grip Doc's shoulder, and formed a handsign. There was a burst of smoke, and the main platform was bustling with copies of Doc and copies of Austin.
