So who played the second of the series first? I did, I think I may prefer the second to the first too.

I played all the games in order, not because I deliberately wanted to, but b/c the next one hadn't come out yet. I think I might say that I prefer KH2, but KH1 is a classic

Yeah, I am enjoying the first one but second had a faster pace and I must say that the gummi mini-game was more engaging in the second one.

but I never gotten my hands on the CoM game...
I don't have a gameboy sooo...
I got the mangas instead... xP
but it felt stupid... the game was more serious...
I played KH2 and NEVER stopped playing it...
but now I just play it to watch some cutscenes,
do my fav battles like sephiroth and demyx,
and just to mess around a bit... x3

and just to mess around a bit... x3 Yeah, I've collected the mangas myself. In fact, right now I'm in the middle of the most recent one. Although they are really cool, they are a little off as far as the seriousness of the game goes. They do have their informative parts, though

manga is japanese comics...
or I think just comics in general...

they made KH2 shorter because KH1 was considered "unfair/too hard" and "too long"...

I played them in order on purpose. I only play games for the storylines, and I think Kingdom Hearts would have sucked to play them out of order. I don't think half the stuff in KH2 would have had the same effect if you hadn't dragged Sora through that ridiculously difficult KH1 first. And the whole Sora/Riku thing wouldn't have even made much sense without seeing what they went through in KH1 first.
Just my opinion. x)
