erm ok, this is done with photos, but i thought ill put it up here for pple who are lazy to create a Background in their first stages of drawing manga. Plus its prolly good for people to learn more of photoshop ^^. I used this tech last time to make a BG for a Anime i CGed. ^_^ hope it helps

Nice tutorial ... mrgreen

Although I don't bother about backgrounds at all, and I usually use Image Adjustments ( Levels/Contrast for line art ) and Hue and Satuation onlyto edit the overall colour of photographs for a sepia look ...

I seldom use masking on layers and your tutorial sorts of refreshed my memory ... blaugh

(Gaaaahh ! I am slowly losing all my photoshop skills ! )
