So I was browsing through Feministe and found this little piece of valuable information: I guess pro-life doesn't include brown people.

So i continue reading the editorial that is linked in the post.

Well, we always knew their priorities were messed up and this is definately a fine example of it. Promoting your own personal agenda instead of helping in a realistic way.

Okay, so it's not directly linked to Abortion. But it's another thing that goes against saving the lives of born people.

Husbands going out and having unprotected sex with HIV-infected prostitutes is mentioned in the article.

But there's also a sizable group of husbands having gay sex with HIV-infected males. Then bringing the HIV home to the faithful wives. Society demonizes gay relationships, which leads to long-term disaster for everyone- not just gay men.

Funny how society talks about the evil female seductresses, yet most females dutifully stick by the rules (mostly out of aversion because of social stigma, rather than happily volunteering that lifestyle).

Men who want unmarried sex with women but require faithful virgin wives think that only 1% or less of the women are promiscuous enough to have sex with men out of marriage. That the women who DO have sex outside of marriage are sluts and whores who are not to be respected at all. Totally untrue, and it's an ugly double standard that has practical health implications as noted with the article listed. Good job posting the article here.

But... But...

If only those gosh darn cheating and infected husbands were to remain faithful crying Then there'd be no problems whatsoever!!!

How naive. How idealistic. Let's all ignore reality. Let's ignore what we know will happen, stick our heads in the ground, and tell people not to do what we know the will do anyway. Rather than tell people to protect themselves if they must do it, we'd rather sacrifice them to our God! Praise JEBUS!

Le sigh...

I can just imagine the conversations that lead to funding allocation decisions like this...

"The world is an amorral pit of sin!"
"Indeed. What can we do about that?"
"I know! We'll pretend that it isn't!"
"What if that doesn't work?"
"Blame the liberals!"

Yeah. Crap like this makes no freakin' sense. burning_eyes
