A japanese rock band called Rize re-did hide's song Pink Spider. I saw the video today on IMF and didn't know if anyone had seen it yet...
Not too bad in my opinion.

I've seen the remake...hide's version is much better.

I've already talked about it in another thread. Old news.
And for the record I hate it. The album in which it's featured is even a rip-off of the original cover art for the single. The video even features similiar aspects. I really dislike it. A lot.

Personally I don't care for it at all. I mean I think only hide should be the one who sang that song and only he can do it. I love hide's voice more and that Rize guys voice gets annoying after a while cause hides version is like coming forth from the background of my mind and that Rize guy doesn't have any soul in this song.
I mean I feel kinda bad dissing anyone but No, back off that is hides song and only his. (Do like Rocket Dive or something although it will never be better then hide. Okay you guys get the point...) Gawd, thinking of this song makes me a little sad. Also hides pv was way better!!! It's nice they did it in memory of him, though.

Yeah, I saw it awhile back and hated it. The singer totally ruined hide's song. The way he said Pink spider irritated me. He said "Pink Spideer" every time while hide was always like "Pink Spyda" whenever he said, which was awesome because hide's engrish is so cool.

On a side note. While I appreciate tributes and all, no one can put the same kind of emotion into songs as hide. If you really think about it, all of hide's songs have an unreplicatible emotion to them...

Nononononononooooo.....
I just dun like it.... hide's songs can't be replicated all that wonderfully in my opinion, a lot of because of just how he sung things.
This guy's vocal range kinda sucks too...
I mean, it's nice they respect his music to want to do a cover of one of his songs, but.. just, nooooo.

So, remember all my bitching about how Rize was riding on something he didn't create (Pink Spider)...Well, I watched the Live Earth Tokyo concert and...Wow. He did two songs and then his remake of Pink Spider and when he announced he was doing hide's "Pink Spider" the crowd went crazy and were so lively...It made me really giddy that Rize was kinda helping to keep the love alive, ya know? ^___^. I take back some of the negative things I said. xD
