I've created this thread so we can keep a tally of the favourite races of our guild members. Answer the poll, then explain what you chose and why in the thread.
Also, the first person on each page thats a multiple of 5 (i.e page 5, 10, 15) will win a special treat. PM me if you get it, I'm not always watching whee whee

Dunmer-
They perfectly fit my playing style (blade, destruction, etc.), and I think they are one of the most attractive races.
I also have a kind of emotional attachment for them from MW, the struggles of the Ashland tribes, and the Great Houses... well, let's just say there's a sort of pride I feel from being in House Telvanni (and at one point the other Houses).

Yup. Dark elves. Destruction (Nothing beats it) And blade. And Nothing beats purple/blue skin, I mean come on, White/black/brown is boring (no offence) In oblivion.

Those would have to have been among the best books in the game. I tried finding them all, but just ended up reading them uesp.net.

I'm all for the Bosmer (and I'm shocked that they have more than one vote too O.o)
I love all the elf races... well except for those grimy half-elven Bretons xp
The Bosmer have amused me since I read one of the books in either Morrowind or Oblivion about a guy going to the Bosmer homeland and trying to impress their leader.
Their customs and purely carnivorous ways were pretty creative, having their own drinks made purely from meat and having to import wood because they won't cut their own.
They have amazing customs but are so damn annoying in-game D=
I still love them ^^

I've never actually a Nord character, I just feel way too intimidating. Do you use much magic with them?

Yes, my nord is an expert in destruction, specifically fire and shock spells, also the nord's resistance to frost is great for when you go against mages and imps.
Nords are a great overall chracter, and their added strength and hardiness is good for any starting character who wants to mule a lot of equipment AND be tough right off the bat.

The Khajiit are my favourite race. Definitely one of the most nice-looking races in the game, if only for their lack of humanity. They're fast, jumpy, and the best characters for hand-to-hand combat(my preferred style of play). Their night-eye ability saved me from one of the trials in the Nightmare quest many a time. They have a very distinct culture and way of speaking. They also had the best voice actors IMO, and face it: They're just ferking cool.
