Okay... yes I know this is more suited for polls, but I really want there to be an actual discussion about this. Are you single or taken. If your single, do you wish you were going out with someone or do like being single. and if your taken, do you like it and if not, why?

Well I am single, and I hate it. I am not used to being single. I liked when I was going out with my ex girl friend and knowing she cared about me made me feel so good about myself, but I didn't like her as much as she liked me and it wasn't fair to any of us... so now I am still single and I just think it sucks. and knowing that the people I like right now most likely dont like me in that way is just a horrible feeling. sad

I'm taken and I really love him so it's good. It's just tough because we live over 100 miles apart and I only get to see him like once a month, plus he's in college and very busy.

Yeah, it sucks, but hopefully it's not gonna be that way for too much longer. I'm trying to get into the same college as him, or one in the surrounding area. That'll make things a lot easier.

In a relationship and it's really good most of the time 3nodding It's almost been 8 months and we did go out for a year before but we broke up and now we're ok =)

Well, here's an update. We're broken up now again, so I'm single. I'm not sure how I feel about being single. I'm definately not looking to start anything new, that's for sure. I'm going off to college in a few months, it's time I start focusing on my goals and not let any guy or girl get in the way.

Hmm, I just got a new boyfriend after a long dryspell of singleness. He's pretty sweet so I like him more than my past boyfriends who were are asses. He doesn't even mind some of my strange insecurities eek
And Kornfucius, I agree with you on the college thing. I'm going to do the same thing in a year or so.

Right now I kind of have mixed feelings on my single-ness. I kind of like not having the commitment. On the other hand, it would be nice to be going out with someone that liked me and I liked them. I dunno.

Fall back... I'm single. I've never been in like a real relationship, or been on a date or been (oh god) been swept off my feet.
I did meet this AMAZING (or supposedly) girl on (are you ready for this?) Myspace. Never IRL. She didn't want to wait until we met to start dating so I was like, OK, whatever. That lasted about a month. So now we're still friends, haven't met yet and yeah.
Now as for how I feel about it, I really don't know. I'm kind of all over the place about it. As long as I have my friends I'm OK, y'know, something to do but then sometimes when it's been 3 days of just hanging out at your house on Gaia, you get lonely, y'know? The phrase is its better to have loved then lost, and since I've never been inlove before I don't have much reason to be depressed.
Except during that special time of the month where if someone even looks at me I'll burst into tears biggrin
Now @ everyone else (and congrats if you read all that, I always say too much!), congrats to those who are in a relationship. For those who aren't, hey we all have plenty of time left in our lives to find someone else. So let's just hang in there.
That or have one of those date nights organized where we spend 5 minutes getting to know a stranger and maybe getting their number or not. I couldn't handle the rejection emo ...take a look at me.
