Ryari leaned her head on his shoulder, and a serene calm sped through her and warmed her. Her heart was still thudding in her ribcage, the blush still burned her face. She smiled and looked up at Masao.

Masao looked down to Ryari when the other fox laid her head on his shoulder. He caught her smile, returning it shyly. He leaned to nuzzle against her, forgetting his nervousness and just letting the feeling of happy warm take over.

Ryari felt the warming glow stregnthen inside her when he nuzzled aganst her. After a moments pause, she spoke. "I-I love you Masao..." and she couldn't help but smile again.

Well, that certainly ruined his attempts at getting his own blush to go away, his cheeks heating up again at the words. "I...I love you too..." He stumbled over the words a bit, not sure if it was alright o be saying it this soon or not. At the moment he did feel it though, that somehow Ryari was sort of...where he belonged. He knew that it was partially due to the fact that the feeling he had right then was similar to the way he felt when the lake's light show had been happening. He hadn't expected to find a mate this quickly, especially when his trip to the Kousetsu tribelands had began as merely seeing where his friend lived.

Ryari's own thoughs seemed to connect with Masao's, She knew it seemed logically strange to say something so heartfelt so soon. But to her having said that she loved him just felt so right, like it was ment to be. She flicked her tail and swept it lovingly down his blue fur clad back. She glanced up at him only to see the red between his fur, Ryari giggled inwardly. She had no second thought about it, because she had felt the meaning and truthfullness in his words when he'd said he loved her.

Masao smiled at the gesture of her tail moving down along his back, moving his own tail to wrap around her. He kept his tail there, holding her in a way to keep her close. His doubts seem to fade, leaving behind that calm deep inside of him. He laid his cheek against Ryari's, snuggling against her.

Ryari closed her eyes, reassured Masao she drifted off to sleep. Her breaths slowing to a calm, steady pace. She'd stayed up most of last night anyway.

Masao smiled when Ryari fell asleep, staying besides her while she did. He didn't mind serving as a bit of a pillow, and he could stay and make sure she was alright while she got the rest that she apparently needed.

Masao had drifted asleep besides Ryari after a while, curled up besides her in the snow. When he woke up, he opened his eyes with a wide yawn and a stretch.

During the night, Ryari had layen down next to Masao, rather than on his shoulder. Now she woke when Masao shifted from beside her. She sat up slowly, parting her jaws in a yawn. "Morning," She murmered sleepily. She got up and stretched as well, soaking in the morning's scant sunlight.
