Didn't see a thread like this, so I thought I'd make one.
So where are you from? Where do you get your movies? Are you lucky enough to live somewhere where you can see Bollywood movies in the theatre? How did you get into Bollywood in the first place? What are your favourite movies, actors/actresses?

Me first:
I live in Canada, so I download a lot of my movies from the interwebs. There is one video store that has lots of Bollywood movies, but I just found out about it and haven't been yet. I'm just getting into Bollywood now, after having taken a Bollywood course at University.

I'm Christina, I'm seventeen, and I'm near Chicago, Illinois. I have a nearby Bollywood store and I've rented a whole bunch of films from them. I've been so busy that I haven't been there in a while. sad I've seen Fanaa, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Salaam-E-Ishq all in theatres, and I'm hoping to see Ta Ra Rum Pum in theatres later this month. biggrin
I got into Bollywood through one of my closest friends. She made (yes, forced) me watch Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and I fell in love with Shahrukh Khan. We married soon after, and we've been together ever since.
My favorite actors are Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Dharmendra, and Aamir Khan. My favorite actresses are Hema Malini, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Amrita Rao, and Juhi Chawla. biggrin

Im chocki ...i live in new zealand... im from india so thats where i buy most of my movies and cds ....i only vist there once every few years so you can imagine the look on the dudes face when i buy 50+cd and dvds lol
I loved bollywood movies since i was a kid then i kinda got put off by them for a few years till i saw kuch kuch hota hai heart and i got right back into them.

I do not really want to reveal my name; it is sort of secret who I am/whose mule I am.
Anyways, I am sixteen and I live in Florida.
I started watching Bollywood movies sometime last year. My first one was Paheli.
Shah Rukh Khan is my favorite actor. I do not care if people say he is an over actor or not, I still think he is great.
About an hour away from where I live, there is a store called Chhabra's which sells clothing, movies, posters, jewelry, and CDs.
The last Bollywood movies I watched were Krrish and Jaan-E-Mann.
My favorites are Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayange, Don, Koi... Mil Gaya, and Krrish.
I love Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam. I believe they are wonderful singers.

I'm Bolly Girl and I've been watching Bollywood Movies all my life! Hrithik & Preity are my fav. actor & actress. I can't speak Hindi....but I can understand a couple of words from each sentence in a movie or song. I listen to mostly bollywood music more than anything (which is a recent change).
&& some of my fav. movies include Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Dil To Pagal Hai, I See You, Kal Ho Na Ho, Salaam Namaste, Veer-Zaara, Rang De Basanti, Don, Dhoom 1/2, Koi...Mil Gaya, Main Hoon Na, and a ton more I can't remember right now xD.

i've been livin in mtl canda for the past 10 years..and..i was born in
sri-lanka..god i just love that place.. and yeah.. i've always been crazy
about hindi,tamil and english movies..
and all of you beware of sayin anythin naughty about Sharu..cause i've got
backup mrgreen ..
naaa..just beware of my big mouth..i just love to give my opinion xp ..i
know..some ppl just can't stand me stressed ...

To Sammirah: Yeah, my local theatre actually plays them, but usually only the ones they know will be successful. They usually only do SRK movies, so to see SEI (or Guru, Krrish, etc) there was a 20minute drive to get to the theatre playing it. They're playing Namastey London there currently. biggrin
