Whew its been a while, but this weekend, I had the pleasure of going to the 3rd Arizona Anime con! Arizona 3

Day 1:

After driving for about 30 minutes me and my friends get to the Mesa Convention Center!
After waiting in a small line (In which I was cut 3 times...) we got our cheapo badges and set forth to go find the game room (Vendor room was closed)

Before we got there, we realized that the Opening Ceremony was about to start, so we sat down in there and such...

So eventually..
When we got to the Game Room found a TON of games
- Melty Blood
- DOA Beach Volleyball
- Halo 2
- Halo 1
- Pop N' Music
- GH 2
- DDR (5th Mix (5th mix?! WTF?)
- Street Fighter
- Wii sports
- GoW
- Beatmania
- Virtual Fighter 5 (ps3)
- nearly ALL the japanese Naruto fighting games

and last but not least, not only were there 2-3 dreamcast's set up, but one of them was permanently set up for...


THE TYPING OF THE DEAD!

I was full of glee and joy! and surprisingly there was a tournament for EVERY game there, so I signed up for the TotP tourny...

after a long and challenging battle between 10 people, I lost (3rd) because:
1) I had gotten worried that the last kid who was playing was going to beat me, so being the idiot that I am, I told the guy in charge: "Ya know maybe we should make this like a real tourny and have the top 2 people go onto chapter 2 and whomever gets the highest score THERE, wins!"

and so he agreed, but the kid who I thought was going to beat me, didn't by like 50 points (which is very very very very close)

2nd reason I lost, was because after I had said that, we were about to (me and the person in charge (who was in first) go onto the 2nd chapter, when some fruitcake comes up and says "O WOW, I WANNA JOIN!" and he beat me by a lousy 20 ******** points (which is probably just typing ONE ******** letter faster then me, or typing 1-2 words more correctly)

and thus I lost..

so I went over and watched my friends play DDR:

All my friends are sitting in the bottom left corner, we were actually missing 4 people, that eventually came later to the con


After playing in the game room for hours and hours, we saw that the vendors room was open (which for some stupid reason I didn't take a picture of)

basically it was a huge open room with a ton of s**t
one of the strangest things was that there was a HUEG yaoi banner for a TINY yaoi panel there..it was awkward for everyone

Me and Vince had bought ALL the
it was only a dollar a box X'D

I also bought 2 wall scrolls (pictures at the end) and a hat with Neko-ears on it (picture later)

Eventually there wasnt much to do so we just left, but..

Last year at AniZona, I was walking around with my friend Vince and we saw this guy, this person (Now named: "Creepy Guy") had a shirt on from the hentai(?) called "Cool Devices"

Since it was Yuri and had neko girls on it, Vince wanted a picture, so we got it...little did we know that Vince's shitty razor cellphone didn't actually take the picture, so we hunted him down and he got another that did indeed work

well, Creepy Guy started talking to us and Vince and I instantly knew, this guy was probably a ******** ***** the stupid c**t wouldn't leave us alone, but eventually we escaped thanks to: 1) Mike's Mom came to drive some of us home, 2) It was time to leave the con

CREEPY GUY WAS BACK AGAIN gonk and me, vince, mike, kyle, dustin, drew, and etc all tried to avoid him, everytime he got close (thank god he couldn't remember us) I was like "OH s**t" or "Oh god.." and thus it was creepy

so we left for Day 1, not too exciting but fun still..


Day 2:

Not much happened yesterday, besides me buying a Katana and Vince/Mike/Drew buying weapons as well, we just walked around and such

Other then that, I'm disappointed because I was 18, and I couldn't go to the Yuri Panel because my friends didn't feel like waiting until 11:00pm to go home

and also, there weren't that many good cosplayers, it was pretty bad this year, but there was a select few that were very very good :3
I didnt take their pictures, and the girl who cosplayed as Nyu from Elfen Lied was really cute crying crying

My friend takes shitty care of his PS2, and he's the only friend who's gone through the effort of buying a Swap Disc, so I don't get to play Narutimate Hero 3 anymore. :/
