The lobby of the A~E building is the expected fare for such a room: desperately tying to make an impression. The light is always kept up by a combination of the large windows and the mildly reflective white tiling - some architects would call it cozy while most people would call it moderately blinding. The perpetual daylight and sterile white tile apparently doesn't make people feel "comfortable". Fancy that. In fact, if it wasn't for the conveniently placed tables, couches and potted plants, the room would look more like a pillared parking garage. Cozy sitting areas aside, there are also interactive display panels lining the non-windowed walls. These panels give you information on the company, products, history... and generally keep tourists busy until we can hide the dangerous stuff. Did I mention the lobby has about thirty hidden cameras? If a visitor scratches his a**, we know. That is, if they aren't so enthralled by a digital lecture on A~E by a display panel that they neglect their needy behind.

Another nifty feature of the lobby is that it provides you with a desk full of secretaries to bug. In turn, they will make you wait needlessly so you can use the comfy couches and display panels (and we run you against our databases). They'll kindly tell you about the latest products from A~E as well as schedule appointments with me or the other corporate type. They'll usually tell you that I'm either In a meeting (secret research), On vacation (kicking a**) or Experiencing a family emergency (drinking).

There are, of course, exits; you may even remember the rotating doors from their previous role as an entrance. There's also a cheesy nostalgic wooden entranceway to The Boiler Room bar and lounge. Let me tell you, this is the kind of classy (okay, still cheesy) wood and glass door setup that those pathetic potted plants want to grow up to be.

And finally there are a few elevators, as well as the special elevator, and the stairwell. So, in other words, ways up the building for visitors, employees, VIPs and health nuts.

"Have fun," drawled Aric's silken voice on the other end of the line, followed soon after by a click, and the sound of a dead line. Elysia ended the call on her end, flipped the cellphone closed, and slid it into its holder, clipped onto her belt at her left hip.

That taken care of, the woman took to staring up at the rather large shining facade of the skyscraper. "What has he gotten me into now..." she muttered, before shaking her head, sighing once, and entering the lobby.

Impressive. Blinding, too. Ouch. Looking around - or squinting, really - Elysia shifted her weight from one booted foot to the other, clearly uncomfortable. Leaving her firearm in her apartment wasn't something she'd usually do, but Aric had advised her to forget it for the trip. And she had been glad when she figured out why - leaving her gun at a weapons check would have unsettled her even more.

But what was she supposed to do now? Aric had said that the head of the company would be expecting her... so she should probably go up to one of those lovely little secretaries and ask one of them where she was expected to go. Which she did, feeling very uneasy as she crossed the great expanse of... white. The brilliant light did nothing to help her pale complexion or make her silvery blue hair stand out any less.

"Ah, I was told I had an appointment with-" Remember the name? Good girl, the memory of Aric's voice whispered in her mind- "Mr. Joseph Brown? The name is Elysia Kavanagh."

Ryoko stepped in from the garden, taking a minute to remember which way led to the supply shop. While it might have been easier to go to an independent shop and skip the labyrinth halls, she preferred it this way for several reasons. First of these was that going to the actual company headquarters for 'business' made her feel important, not to mention the fact that she was presumably making a killing by skipping the middle-man and going direct to the supplier.

After a brief pause, she made her way towards the shop. She had a bit of business to do today.

A quick glance, and things were quite as Daniel expected them to be. Secretaries, couches, plants, all they were missing was the massive fountain of impressiveness, other than that, it was like dozens of other buildings that he had seen in his day. He seriously wondered if there was some company supplying prefab corporate headquarters somewhere. They all seemed to have so much in common.

He walked slowly, slouching, a pleasant gait, and a big friendly smile as he approached the desk.

"Weapon's and Gear shop, please Miss," he leaned forward a bit, reading the obligatory nametag, "Rachel."

"Yessir, please take a seat and wait. Feel free to use our displays to see the latest A~E Corporation has to offer you. Remember, if it ain't A~E, it's crap."

Daniel nodded slowly, smiling, and taking a seat near one of the monitors. He navigated through it somewhat easily, looking for what exactly they carried in weapons, and maintenence gear. He flipped through items, marking them in his mind as unsuitable, too expensive, or possible purchases.

15 freakin' minutes. 15 minutes, and when Miss Rachel finally called him up again, it was to point towards a room right across the lobbey. First Floor, the Weapon's Store.

He could have strangled her, if he was a lesser man, prone to anger. It was all he could do to smile, nod, and thank the woman for her 'hard work'. It was amazing even to Daniel, that he managed to keep the sarcasim out of his voice.

Daniel was in front of her, doing the same thing. Whoosh! Moving!

((Same here... no one is here to do anything... so yeah.))

Handing the Taxi driver his pay and watching him speed off, Sey readjusted her hood over her face and walked inside the Main Lobby, not phased at all by the blinding whiteness of the room. She was a White Mage of a God of Light afterall.

The panels didn't really interest her much, and Sey went directly up to the desk with all the pretty secretaries sitting behind it, who's productivity spectrum spanned from extremely busy, to extremely bored.

"Um... Excuse me." Sey said politely, her quiet, gentle voice arresting and calming.

"I was wondering if I could speak to a certain Sir Joseph Brown? I have a proposition he may be interested in." Sey smiled sweetly, though the secretaries could only see her glossy lips underneath the hood. She didn't really want any security cameras seeing her just yet.

The secratary just happend to be the same helpful one that Elysia encountered. The the airhead, the actual helpful one.

"I'm sorry, but I've got to give you the same resoponce I give everyone." she was still typing even while looking at Sey, "If you don't have an apointment you won't be able to just waltz up there. There's very few exceptions Mr. Brown makes."

"Mind you, if you leave a contact number and your name, we can see what we can do." With taht she went back to her computer.

Sey shook her head and sighed, taking off her hood and staring the woman in the eye.

"I have no contact number. That's what I want to see him about." Putting her hands on the desk and leaning closer towards the Secretary, Sey bit back a sigh and tried to look slighty imposing, though it was always hard to do so wearing all white and light blue.

"I am Sey Kaikou, White Mage of Falis and I want to speak to him, or someone, about outfitting my Temple with various necessities that I know your coproration can provide." She leaned back and stared at the secretary with luminous grey eyes.

"And I'm willing to wait."

"Well then," she sighed and typed something diffrent into her computer, "This makes it difficult, you'll probbaly have to ckeck back regu..."

There was a beep.

"Oh," She double checked the screen, "I apoligize. I'll make a call on your behalf miss Kaikou. It will just be a minute."

With that she picked up the phone and began to dial. Giving Sey the "one minute signal".

"Hello," She said, "There's a miss Kaikou for Mr. Brown... Oh? Not in at the moment... I see... I see... What should I do then?... Oh... Oh... I see... Thank you, goodbye."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Brown is not in his office. He should be back within the hour." She paused, "If you want I could make a few more calls."

"Please do. I'll stay here all day if I must." Pushing off the desk and standing straight, Sey stood wtih her hands folded over her staff which she held at her abdomen.

"Thank you."

Cail opened the doors and smiled cynically. Standing there, looking all prim and propper was the White Mage he had spent the better half of his day searching for.

Calmly walking towards her, Cail swept her off her feet and began to drag her out of the building.

"... You know, I think I'll actually listen to your complaints once we get back to the Temple." He said, over her furious screams.

... She had it with his unneccesary arrogance, his idiotic assumptions and his stupid antics.

Without a word, Sey cast a barrier around herself and shoved as much energy as she could into it when she heard Cail's voice and his arm wrap around her waist, knocking him backwards several feet.

"I am NOT YOUR CHARGE." She said forcefully, grey eyes dancing with fire.

"So get the hell away from me, Paladin, before you realize the hard way that I can take care of myself."
