Episode I:
The Squirrel and the Robin

The rest of the family had left the home in the big white truck and Beauregard was left to his deeds at the white victorian home. Sniveling his nose (if he had one), the red whale floated higher into the sky, looking aftr the trail of dust as the family that just recently moved in left without a goodbye. Pulling his big whale jaws into a frown, Beauregard began to sing a melancholy tune, turning away from his friends who deserted him. He was about to venture back into the house through the broken window when some movement caught his eye. Turning to it, Beauregard gave a C# cry and waited for a reply, slowly drifting towards a nearby tree where the movement came from.

Squirrel had just been counting her acorns, plucking them from the branches and throwing them into her home in the tree, when the song caused her to look up and out of the little burr. Oooh, a C#! She quickly fluffed her tail and scurried out onto a branch, posing cutely and chirring back a high-octave A. She hadn't seen the suitor, but surely he would be handsome, with such a confident C#!

Excited and spurred on by the A, Beauregard straightened his little blue bow-tie and floated into the branches to find himself face to face with the beautiful she-squirrel! Rolling his brow-muscles (since he didn't have eyebrows), Beauregard cleared his throat and stretched a fin at the squirrel.
I feeeeeel yooooou, She-Squirrel!
I feeel you!
I was half convinced I'd waken
Satisfied enough to dream you
Happily I was mistaken!
She-Squirrel!

Squirrel blinked her beady black eyes as she spotted the suitor through the branches. What the hell was that?! She'd never seen a bird like that before! It didn't even have any feathers!
She had been about to flick her tail at him derisively and hop away, when he had let out this enchanting series of notes. Her little Squirrely heart skipped a beat. Oh my! He didn't look like much, but what a silver tongue!
Spinning around twice, bringing her fluffy tail (she was so proud of it) before her to hide her nose in, she squeeked a girlish giggle and replied with a series and clicks and chirps of her own. Daintily, she offered a tiny paw to the flying whale's fin.

Robin sagged on the branch of a tree, picking worms from the leaves and bark when his meal was interrupted by a sonnet of love. He spotted a giggling squirrel and a uhhh...... well..... Regardless he guffawed and guffawed loudly, challenging the bulbous beast. He twittered a flat tune and coughed (as much as a bird can) before trying again. Start with the basics, Doe a deer, a female deer. Ray, a drop of golden suuUU--! Okay, he was good now. Fluffing his luscious red chest, he pakawed.
All the ways my mother taught me how

The red whale was right about to touch his fin with the squirrel and take her hand and whisk her away in the sunset when suddenly another voice rang out in the air. Startled, Beauregard puffed his chest in indignation and frowned, looking for the other. It was a Robin! Be it, then. Beauregard will win this squirrel's heart with Eric Whitacre!
Stretched out
Stretched out on the grass

Savoring
Their oranges

Exchanging foam

Ohhhh~! Squirrel suddenly found herself with TWO suitors, both of which were singing for her affections! Chittering cutely, Squirrel backed away from the featherless bird, hiding her little paws in her fluffy tail. She twirled on herself a few turns before singing out in sexy PussyCat Doll style:

So the young squirrel was playing coy, eh? Robin liked that, but would be patient no longer! As his inviting (yet blunt) approach did not work, he wrapped his urgency into older words. He knew how to combat her coquettish ways!
But at my back I always hear

Beauregard gasped in surprise. So the Robin was reverting to the classics, huh? Well, this little red rubber-feeling whale could do that too! Clearing his throat and slicking back his non-existent hair, Beauregard opened his mouth again and out came Journey!

Squirrel was being pulled one way, then another! She was reaching out to Robin's classical crooning, but then turned to swoon to Beauregard's heartfelt ballad! Oh, her heart! How can she choose between two such suitors?
Bringing a little paw up to her forehead and striking a Damsel-in-Distress pose, the little fluffy-tailed beauty sang out again:
No the rain wont last forever
Find a way to make it better
Long as we can stand together
Love will find a way
Gonna make a new tomorrow
Say good-bye to tears and sorrow
Better listen when I say

His opponent was good. Very good. He knew he could not outdo such a melodious flying rubber chew toy! He would have to rely on his suave nature and radiantly feather-red breast that worked like a beacon of hope to the swooning ladies! He would have to ditch his eloquent classics for some Broadway vocals! He hopped down a few branches and puffed up his chest.

How could he do better than that song?! Beauregard wondered with awed shock. Setting his teeth straight, the red whale thought for a moment. It was coming down to the moment of decision. Beauregard had to sing something worthy of rememberance! Clearing his throat, the rubber whale opened his mouth and released...

Oh, it was so hard to choose! But Squirrel HAD to! It was cruel to leave them both hanging, these two Romeos... Skipping from one branch to another, Squirrel approached Robin, and reached out her little paw, tilting her head longingly as she ran her fingers up under his beak.
Squirrel then hopped away, twirling over to Beauregard, smiling over her shoulder and letting her tail fluff run around the rubbery whale's cheek.
Finally the little girl placed herself between the two, and inhaled slowly. She was ready to make a choice, but perhaps one last try from both males could sway her...

Robin held his little breath with the dainty squirrel came for him. Oh joyous day! Until she scampered off to Beauregard and his optimistic air was passed against his beak angrily.
He still had a shot left! He had to pull out all the stops!!
