Ramiro fidgeted, still not recovered from his last time babysitting the Sin. Fortunately this time it wasn't at his own home, but at the mall. And he had someone to meet. So, he had been given permission to dump Jack in one of the obnoxiously bright kids' stores and leave him there. After all, what's the worst he could do in a crowded place like this? Well, a better question was, what could he do without getting caught. "Stay around here, alright?" He told the boy, who had already stopped listening, "I'll be back around nine, ok?" Since he knew he wasn't going to get an answer he simply walked off, leaving Jack in a Build-A-Bear workshop.

Gross. This was the kind of stuff Murphy and the girls like. Kissing the little heart and putting it inside to make it special. Sure, he had a few stuffed animals of his own, but they were tough. He could toss them around and play with them and stuff. But damn. These girls were just like dressing them up in dumb costumes to sit around and do nothing. And paying a bunch of money for it. Before leaving the store Jack pocketed the only thing that really interested him, a little black cap that looked similar to his own. He headed up the escalator and started to wander down toward the music store. But something caught his attention. Near the end of the mall down on the first floor was a man dressed as the Easter bunny, taking pictures with kids and handing out Easter baskets. Oh, this was just too good. Cracking a twisted smile he walked over to the nearest bench and stood up on it, leaning over the railing.
