Makes sense to start this it's own thread
M'kay, the reason I want to go for GURPS, is it's openess - this is a world that's got everything from Men made of Ectoplasm to Robot-Driving Nazis to Boys from Hell, to Cyborg Gorrilas - the gurps system has rules to build almost any kind of odd creature, which is why it seems to fit. I can't comment on how well it actually plays though, as I've completley forgotten how the system works... But there's got to be a reason it's everywhere...

I'd be up for it, though I've never played GURPS. I mostly do WW games or D20.

It's a remarkably simple system - it turns out, you've got 4 Attributes (Strength, Dexterity, IQ and HT), and Skills, which start at varying levels (generally an Attribute minus 1-5). You roll 3D6, and try to get under. There's also Modifiers - things like Reputation or Bad Temper or Breathe Fire, that let you do something awesome (like breath fire) or modify your skill - someone with a Reputation in a certain field will have a much higher chance of passing social tests against people who work in that field.
It's also all points-bought - you've a set number of points that you spend on whichever parts look interesting.
*edit* I suck at explaining things - belive me, it's easier than it sounds!

Sounds pretty cool. Is this in the Hellboy RP Book? I saw it at my local gameatorium and thought about buying it.

I've seen and own that book, but how would something like that be carried out here?

The dice roller'd help.
Otherwise, I set the scene, you say what your characters do in response. Like offline, just one hell of a lot slower mrgreen

For some reason, I have the Hellboy GURPS book, but I never use it. I don't even really know how the GURPS system works. I'm only used to the d20 and d10 systems, each employed by Wizards of the Coast and White Wolf, respectively.

Yeah, it does. If that's in response to by roll though, that was just random buttonmashing lol
I havent actually mentioned my campaign plan, have I?
So, I'm planning on running a alternate BPRD - pretty much identical, but significantly larger (hence all you guys), ideally there'll be several missions going on at once, with teams set up depending on the mission. Means I can run stupidly complex stories. The main advantage of this, of course, if you can hop in and out - if you've a busy period coming up, you'll just be taking a break and wont get brought into any missions!

You mean I could do a Hellboy-esque walkabout of Africa, leaving my teammates to fight unspeakable evils?
