Kitten looked up at the clock as it ticked softly on the wall, drumming her fingers against the book she was reading before closing the book and standing up to move over to Seveda. "It's almost time, do you think you're ready for this?" the gray eyed woman asked the tulip child reading her own book. Much to Kitten's dismay it was another romance novel, but at the very leave Seveda was gaining bits of creativity from reading so much. Either way, Kitten knew she was going to need to start schooling the girl properly, but Seveda could be so stubborn.
"I'm no done reading yet," the girl replied wistfully, looking up from her book with a forlorn look. Kitten shook her head. "It's your responsibility. You can finish it after you're done babysitting little Eury. She's just like you and you know you're always asking to meet other Vales."
Kitten had prepared a lot of things for the girl to do with Eury, but she didn't actually know what the girl liked, but Kitten didn't want Seveda to screw up. If Seveda did something wrong then it was fairly likely it would also be pinned on her and Kitten's rep with Vale wasn't good, but atleast it wasn't bad!

Eury was cradled in the arms of Yiiei as she napped though being shifted every once in awhile, she was a heavy baby for the small young woman, she slept peacefully. Her head rested gently on Yiiei's shoulder as a hand wrapped around the obsever's neck. She liked the way her guardian felt. Warm. Soft. Lightly fragrant.
As Yiiei glanced from the piece of paper in her hand to the house in front of her she juggled the baby slightly as she tried to get to the door. Rapping at the door with a couple of knocks, she took a step back and waited for someone to answer. The student prayed that this was the right house. She needed to get her work done for both the VoE and for her college courses.
Someone answered from inside. "Its me, Yiiei."
A few minutes later the door knob turned and Yiiei hastily readied a nervous smile, praying silently that Eury wouldn't scare her babysitter before Yiiei had a chance to escape.

Kitten was partially startled by the knocking of the door. Honestly, she didn't expect for the two to show up just as she mentioned they'd be there 'any minute. With a laugh she plucked Seveda's book from her hands and gave her an affectionate poke in the arm. "Go on, open the door. I'm not going to be helping you with this unless you really need it. You hear me? I wont be babysitting this child for you."
Seveda wrinkled her nose in the way all teenages did when faced with something they weren't overly fond of. "You're the one that signed me up for this, not me," she retorted before standing up and brushing out her billowing skirt. Honestly, Seveda didn't mind at all that Kitten had voluntered her to babysit, she was just irritated that she wasn't able to finish her book until later. Seveda hated having to put a book down half-way through.
Moving to the door, Seveda pulled it open just a crack and peered out with inquisitive eyes, just to make sure this 'Yiiei' person was who she said she was, and not some intruder pretending to be someone dropping off her child. Pulling the door all the way open, Seveda motioned for the woman to come inside. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Yiiei. And is this baby Eury?" she asked with a sweet smile.

"Hello Seveda. Its nice to meet you," Yiiei greeted as she entered the home, shifting both baby and baby bag. Once pass the threshold, the young observer turned to Eury and nudged her gently.
"Eury, wake up now," she said gently but the baby didn't budge. Yiiei frowned at the persimmon girl before steeling her voice. "Baby do not think I do not know that you're playing." Yiiei knew that the little girl wouldn't understand her but she would understand her tone of voice.
And that she did. The baby lifted her head drowsily before turning to give a bored expression at the older tulip girl. Her expression was blanked as she watched with steady eyes before turning them to Yiiei and leaning back into the curve of the observer's neck. She wasn't interested.
The dark haired girl gave a nervous laugh and apologized, "I'm sorry Seveda. Eury can be a little grumpy after her nap." Her dark eyes then searched the room, "Is Kitten in?"

Seveda couldn't help but to smile and shake her head, stifling a giggle as the girl chose to ignore her instead of greet her. Seveda understood the sentiment perfectly and didn't take any offence to the gesture. "The poor doll. We have some really comfy beds around if Eury would like to continue her nap," Seveda attempted to offer with a smile. Not that she wanted Eury to sleep the whole time, but an ungrumpy baby would be pretty nice.
Kitten peered around Seveda's shoulder with a bright smile "I'm right here Yiiei! Aww, Eury is too cute!" Kitten cooed, slipping past Seveda to tickle Eury lightly on the cheek and coo cutely at her. It was certain Kitten was a bit more maternal that Seveda, but Yiiei shouldn't be too worried, Kitten wouldn't leave Seveda and Eury alone. "So how long will you be gone for?"

Eury wrinkled her nose as her cheeks were tickled by the strange woman. She gave Kitten a similar look of indifference. Why was she here? She wanted to go back to sleep at Yiiei's quiet place. The baby turned her face away from the strangers once Kitten had stopped tickling her cheeks. She really wasn't interested.
The observer gave an apologetic smile, "I'll be gone only for a few hours, I just really need to get some things done. You know the number to reach me at if you need me. I really appreciate this Kitten, Seveda." As Yiiei shifted the baby and dropped the baby bag onto the floor gently, she asked, "Did either one of you want to hold the baby?"

The pink-haired girl smiled as the baby shifted away from Kitten. Babies could be just so adorable without meaning to be. When Yiiei set down the bag, Seveda quickly shiffled over to pick it up and move it out of the way, placing it upon the table beside the couch she'd just been lounging upon.
Kitten nodded at Yiiei's words, stepping back a bit as Seveda moved forward. This was, afterall, her job to do. "Of course, of course. You don't need to worry about a thing. We'll call if there's a problem but I can't imagine anything going awry with little Eury. Is there anything special we need to know about? Feeding, naps, allergies?"
At the question of who would be holding the baby, Kitten held up her arms in the classic 'not me' pose, shaking her head with a smile as Seveda reluctantly stepped up. "I'd like to hold her mam," replied the girl politely, holding her arms out in the best mimicing pose she'd seen Kitten the last time she was given a baby to hold.

Yiiei handed Eury off to the young teen, shushing the baby to keep still and behave. She took a step back and smiled, exchanging a few words of goodbye with Kitten before leaving. The young observer prayed that Eury would behave herself.
The baby had begun to struggle at being handed to one of the strangers but after being given the look from her guardian she had settled down. Eury looked over the tulip teen with blank eyes. She really didn't want to be here. She wanted to be back at the lab or Yiiei's place but it was too late as she watched her guardian leave before she could make a complaint.
"Yiiei," Eury began to say. It was such an easy name unlike this purple colored strange who's name made her tongue trip over itself. The baby kept calling for the guardian but the observer never came to answer her call. Leaving the baby to stare at the babysitter with displeasure.

Seveda gently rocked Eury in her arms and moved over to the couch to sit down so Eury could rest on the teen's knees. Not that Seveda couldn't hold Eury, but it was probably better to not have to make her arms tired too fast. A pink finger tickled gently att Eury's cheek as Seveda spoke to her, "Hi there Eury, I'm Seveda. You can call me Sevvy if you want. Can you say that? Seh-vee?"
Kitten watched quietly for a moment before slipping into the kitchen to do her own chores as well as pick up a few of Seveda's. As a deal, Seveda had agreed to babysit for free in return for Kitten taking on some of her chores, such as cleaning dishes and doing the laundry. This way Kitten would be close-by and could help if she needed to but at the same time wasn't being too hands-on.
