[The Basics]Name: Erin Luesha (Lou-e-sha) Age: 16 (w00t 1 year since thread was created!) Birthday: April 7th, 1992 Gender: Female Eye Color:Her eyes are a light hazel color at a distance, though up close one could see a ring of golden specks around the pubil that spread out to around the middle part of the eye. Hair color/styleA light almost white-golden shade, though thinned and straight, it seems to just hang over her like a smooth waterfall. Since she was a little girl, Erin has always envied those with a hair-color other then her own. After all, who likes being called a dumb blonde when there's no basis of fact. Constantly she will change the style, but has seemed to settle, lately, on a length just a little short of her shoulder. Usually, if she can get it to cooperate, it will be pulled into a short ponytail that looks pretty much like a bobcat's tail. However, the only difference is that her 'bangs' (they're grown to be the same length as her hair and lay to the side. In other words, she has no bangs.) are left out of the ponytail about an inch or two to hang by her ears on either side. Skin ToneSpending most of her time outside at all hours of the day, save for school and the obvious, she has developed a healthy tan. Not exactly dark, but far from pale. Height:5ft 4in Weight:(^^; I'll look into this a bit more.) Body Type:Thinly framed, she's just shy of the runner's body, though is a bit more on the frail side. Her body does not speak of strength or confidence, but rather a nice friendliness, even brightness, for she smiles frequently. Distinguishable Characteristics:While first learning to ride horseback with her mother when she was younger, Erin took an unsuspected fall from the saddle when the horse spooked. Because of this, and how she caught herself, her arm got in the way of the horse's hoof. Though it wasn't crushed, she did get a good grazing from the metal horseshoe (which was apparently loose at the time) leaving a deep scrape in the crude shape of a horseshoe. Over time the wound healed, but scarred over, and is lightly visable on her upper left forearm. Residence:In a small town known as Greystone, Arizona. Country'esk. Living conditions:She lives with her father and brother (more in the family section) in their older two-story house. In the later years it use to be a working farm, but hasn't had more then a couple of animals on it since the late 60's. Past-times:Normally, if there's nothing else going on, she'll spend time in the paddock with her mother's old gelding, Pyro (rescued thoroubred). That, or she can found hanging around her big brother's shadow, and imposing on his time with his friends. Though, neither he nor his friends seem to mind it one bit at this point. Daily chores:Haha, everyone's always too busy to carry their own weight around the house, so she's doing alot. Cleaning dishes Occasional laundry duty Taking care of the animals Homework Cleaning her room Reading or Writing? Erin perfers to read. Not that she doesn't believe she couldn't write her own stories, she just perfers to read and 'listen' to anothers ideas and voice. Schooling:10th grade - Sophmore in highschool. Basic Attire:The same stuff she's been wearing most of her life. Any style of jeans, though perferablly boot cut black jeans, with a simple maroon-tee. The t-shirt though, has the Ford Mustang logo on the chest, and the word Mustang' right above it. Most times of the day, Erin will be wearing a pair of thick soled working boots. These boots go up to her ankle like any pair of tennis shoes, and even tie up like a regular shoe, the only difference is that they are made from a tougher material and they have pronouced ridges on the bottoms. Usually brown or black in color, almost never new, and likely to be covered in dust. Idol:Her big brogher, Shawn. After what happened to their mother, and their father working most hours of the day, she finds comfort knowing he's still there if she needs him. She doesn't particularly like being seperated from him for too long, but sometimes feels as though she's being a burden, and will allow him space. Personality:Quite the contrast of how she use to be, Erin is now more on the reserved side of things. She'll listen without interrupting for the most part, and finds that taking control of most conversations isn't something she wants to partake in; unless prompted to do so. Perhaps even on the slightly shy side, she'll keep ideas and comments to herself. That's not to say she won't openly greet or mingle with friends, she's just a bit more ditatched from what's going on. When she was younger though, she was very adventures and spur of the moment, most of the times leading herself into trouble with her parents. When her mom passed away though, and people kept bringing up how alike they were, Erin began to dislike that part of her. Needless to say, she looks up to Shawn and how he can stay so calm and in-control, just like how he was when their mom was still arounds. With him around, she is a bit more like her old self, and often times forgets about how she wants to act. Though if situation permits, Eric can still be on the spur of the moment side. FavoritesArea of study:History by far. There's just so many interesting details that catch her attention. Color:Indigo- it was her mother's favorite as well. Foods:Strawberries and popcorn. Not together of course, but they make the perfect snack foods. Book:The Black Stallion series- having a deep fasination with horses, she finds the adventures of Alec and The Black to be quite thrilling, and a twist on normal literacy with just humanized characters. Genre:Oddly enough, she does enjoy a good sci-fi book, as long as its not too cliche. Animal:Horse Sport:Soccer Art Style:Not much of an artist, she admires the talents of realistic works and sketches. How she was transported:After going through some stuff in the attic, Erin found her mother's old leather belt, and despite an oddly tarnished silver buckle, started wearing it across her hip, instead of putting it into the loops, like most girls were doing. Unfortunatly, about a week after about a week of wearing it, she found the tarnish was rubbing off and feared the metal would be damaged. Not that she would mind the look, she just didn't want anything of her mother's to be harmed. Lucky for her, she discovered a shop that would repair it... or so they said anyway. She couldn't get over the fact that it somehow looked... different afterwards. ((I'll make it ALOT more detailed in actual rp/journal when I get the char.)) What she has on herA small photo of Shawn she keeps in her back pocket for whenever she's lonely. A small ring of keys around the belt loop of her pants: front door of house, back door of house, bike lock, barn lock, and small key to her old safekeepings box (lost in the mess that is her closet). Several Hair bands in pockets or random places; never can have too many.

[The Family] The Father Name: Joey Luesha Age: 43 Occupation: Multi-state Lawyer Relation with Erin: Though they use to do everything together when their mother was still alive, it hardly seems he knows his kids are there anymore. They're growing up, but he still has three mouths to feed, and a job that demands travel and late hours. When he is home, he'll distance himself from his kids, for often times his work is brought home with him. Though between the two, Erin and Shawn, he feels she is more grown up and the one he does not need to worry about. On the other hand, her brother, is always getting himself into trouble at school. The Mother (deceased) Name: Josephena (Josie) Luesha Age: 41 Occupation:Local Riding Instructor Relation with Erin:She loved her kids, and though Shawn was always the troublesome one, she always worried about Erin and the decisions she made. It was easy to tell that the girl didn't always think things through, for at those times it turned into disaster, where as other times everything worked out surprisingly well. Playing the part of the housewife, she was normally able to help out with homework, but was a stern believer in 'household chores'. No matter how much they complained, she would get her kids to work, and most admimently when company was suppose to be coming over. In other times, when nothing was going on, the house would go as unkempt as the barn outside. The Tragedy:Apparently she got involved with the wrong type of people. Gang? Small-town mob? Mole people? Not even close. One of her student's father was an ex-con and a frequent drunk, always dropping his kid off at the right time, and picking him up more then half an hour late. One afternoon, on his way to pick up his son, the father happened to lose control of his vehicle; ramming straight through the padock fence. Luckily the lesson was drawing to a close, and most of the students were on the far side, getting ready to untack their horses. Josie, however, had her back turned to the drive and had been yelling across the paddock towards Shawn, trying to get him to do his homework. At the time, he was no more then 12 years old, and had been petrified at the events about to unfold. In a head on collision, Josie was struck by the front end of the car, and her lung was pierced by a stray piece of fencing. She died almost instantly, but Shawn blames himself for not calling 911 fast enough, believing that some how he could have saved her. The Brother Name: Shawn Luesha Age: 19 Occupation: High school student Relation with Erin:He's become very protective of her since reaching highschool and seeing all things that go on. Its occured to him that, like before with his mother, he would be unable to do anything if she got into trouble. While he holds a deep angst against their father for completely ignoring the problem, and never being around, he tolerates most everything Erin does. Following him. Hanging out with his friends. True, there are times he gets annoyed, especially when she decides not to listen to him, but the last thing he wants to do is lose another someone close to him. Friends and Hobbies:His two best friends... only friends, Alyssa and Jessie, are usually hanging out with him at his house after school or in the lunchroom at school. Though Shawn sees himself as the 'leader' of the group he's calmest around them. Its not only for Erin's, but Jessie and Alyssa's sake, that he gets into so many fights at school. He perfers to think that if he has a reputation, no one will want to mess with the people that are closest to him. So one his personal hobbies would have to be making trouble. On a more personal level, he is a guy with an imagination. Having read many sci-fi books, and hobby of his rubbed off on Erin, he'll joke around about 'fantasy monsters' and situations. Though he's never played D&D, he certainly could be considered that kinda guy... if it wasn't for the reckless beatings he hands out to troublemakers. History:Having been born in and grown up in Greystone, Erin, like most of the other kids in the communitee, is well known and looked after. Having received a lot of attention when she was young by her mother's friends whenever they went 'into town', or rather, the shopping center; Erin scarecely went without some form of compliment. It wasn't that their family was rich, or that she was overly beautiful, but rather the simple girl almost always wore a smile on her face. Despite this, or rather because of it, she turned out to be a rather shy girl when it came to compliments. Having received them so much, she feels embarissed any time someone happens to bring one of them up. Still, that doesn't stop her from opening up to a stranger when the oppurtunity to make friends presents itself, as long as they're willing to keep the conversation going that is. At the age of 6 another part of her personality, spur of the moment decisions and changes of heart, led to her fasicnation with horses. Like most people, she had found the creatures to be big and almost brute like at first, but with some coaxing from her mom, and some time alone in the paddock one day, Erin had tried climbing up on a fence post to reach the thankfully short pony's back. Needless to say, when her older brother caught her riding around bareback, with her short legs barely reaching down to the horse's belly, she got into big trouble. That is, after she had tried slipping off the pony's back by herself and falling to the ground in a heap. Who know it was such a long fall? Later on, and when she was a little older, her mother decided to give her riding lessons like she did most of the other neighbor kids who expressed an interest. Erin was no different, and despite a few rough patches, it got to the point where Josie wouldn't mind leaving her alone in the barn to care for their animals by herself. Oddly enough, this also led to her fear of confined spaces. One time while she was feeding one of the larger horses for the night, the creature had pushed past her, and evidently the stall door shut behind it, locking the little girl inside. For what seemed like hours on end, Erin was unable to get herself out, considering the careture had also knocked over a pile of feedbags in front of the stall door. Scared and unsure of what to do, she had to wait till her big brother finally figured out that she had been in that barn far too long to just be feeding the animals. When she had started going to school, and throughout the years, Erin has proved herself to be a moderate athelete, though lacking in a drive for competition. She finds that the most enjoyable classes, off the subject of failures, was in fact history and english; for both told stories in elaborate detail. Finding herself almost engulfed in her classes all the time, she earned the reputation as the 'quiet, honest' girl in the front of the room. Why? Erin isn't exactly sure how this happened, but doesn't exactly argue the point either. Better to be thought honest then a lier. It wasn't till the death of her mother that Erin really started to change in her personality, allowing the stereotype to come to life without much fight in her to go against it. Shy, easily embarissed, and sentimental; she'll try to keep herself out any and all conflicts by trying to appease both sides of the issue. Sometimes this doesn't always work, and even ends in blowing up in her face, which leads to greater emotional issues that she has to deal with. Normally when this happens, she'll find herself spending more and more time with Shawn and his friends, trying to bury herself in other interests. She's not sure if Shawn understands this behavior or not, but most of the time she'll put on her usual happy face as if nothing has happened. Any sort of confrontation, including Shawn asking simple questions about how she feels, she'll avoid. As of lately, its been pretty normal for Erin, except for adjusting to life in highschool. Yikes, so many things she doesn't know about... and so many kids willing to share their knowledge! Erin is learning in mild moderation about issues and problems that she never knew existed, though not with much understanding of it all.

[About the Minotaur] Why the Minotaur?I'll put it this way... da Ropin is a sucker for complete and yet not total opposites. Its true that Erin is small where the beast was generally a well muscled form, and Erin too isn't the agressor type of gal, where the minotaur was the total opposite of that. But not everything is at a loss here, Erin and her spur of the moment decisions, go quite well together with the minotaurs unpredicablity. The Minotaur in History:The Minotaur was a bull-headed man, whom King Minos 2 shut up in the Labyrinth which Daedalus had built in Crete. The Athenians were then forced by Minos 2 to send every year seven young men and seven young women to be fodder of this famous beast. Now King Minos had declared that whatever he prayed for would come true, and so he had prayed for a bull to appear out of the sea so he could sacrafice it. When Poseiden sent such a beautiful bull, Minos decided to keep it for himself, and instead sacraficed a different bull; which in turn angered the God. Unfortunatly for Minos, his wife fell in love with the bull... and I ended up giving birth to a bull-headed man. Minos 2 shut his monstruous stepson—the bull-headed man—up in the Labyrinth which also had been built by Daedalus. The Labyrinth was a chamber whose passageways were so winding that those unfamiliar with them had difficulty in making their way out. In this Labyrinth, the Minotaur was maintained, devouring the youths that were sent from Athens. When many young men and women had thus been destroyed by the Minotaur in the Labyrinth, Theseus (who later became king of Athens) was numbered among those who were sent as the third tribute to the Minotaur. It was then that Ariadne, daughter of Minos 2, fell in love with Theseus, and obtaining the secret to the Labyrinth from Daedalus, disclosed the way out to him. While in the Labyrinth, Theseus put an end to the Minotaur, before finding his way out. Character ModificationsOf course, this was just an example of a Minotaur, and Erin being female, will become a female Minotaur. Its up to the artist on how they want to betray this art wise. Erin herself will be going through some odd experiances to say the least, personality and mentality wise. Until I get the chance to rp these changes, I'm unsure of what her reactions will be to most things; though I can say she'll definatly be a more irratible.
