pirate In the mostly Medieval Times, such as King George's reign, pirates ran rampid over all of the seven seas, pillaging and destroying, burying treasure and being involved in all sorts of debauchery. The King of England, ruling much of the world at this time, is frantic with worry. His people are becoming frustrated with the pirates and what isn't being done to stop them. So, the king has put out a notice to all able-bodied men and qualified women to hunt down and kill any pirate, anywhere. The reward for a pirate is a sack of gold, but for a ship of pirates it is an earldom and more gold than I care to mention. And for one such pirate ship, the Golden Dragon, the reward is a position just beneath that of the king and a mountain of gold. Why? The Golden Dragon is the most fearsome pirate ship in all of the seas, with a woman pirate as her captain. But Captain May Williams is no ordinary woman pirate. She is a cutthroat savage like all of her crew and incredibly clever to boot. Who will you join? Captain May or Captain Edward Cooper in his quest to bring down the Golden Dragon? pirate
Rules
You should know all basic Gaia rules and be able to obey them.
No incredibly superfast, superstrong, superdedooper pirates or people bringing down pirates. We all love flaws, please have them.
This is MOSTLY MEDIEVAL TIMES. What does that mean? No high-tech power guns or weapons. No jeans, no t-shirts, no ipods, you get the point. They wore breeches, tunics, jackets, belts, swords and old-fashioned guns and pistols.
Know what a pirate is. Pleeeease.

I am Captain May Williams, but you can be quartermaster, first mate, etc, if you ask. Only about 3 other women pirates and 3 women pirate hunters.

(ha! I be raised on this piraty stuff since I could standon me own two legs!)
(A movie you might enjoy seeing, Cutthroat Island, this RP sounds almost like it.)

Personality: unlike his name might suggest, he is a quiet pirate, and does not delight in the loss of a crew member. He is tough though and will follow the captains orders to the end, unless they violate his sence of honor.
Appearance: 6'4", heavy build. Red hair, a comanding presence.
History: Born in the high hills of the north (Scottland), I was raised up in a wealthy home, which he ran away from when he was younger, and stowed away on a ship that was bound for the mediterranian but before it reached its destination it was attacked and commandeered by the royal army to fight pirates in the area, after this event he has had a stronger dislike of the royals and their methods so he decided to join the other side. He was made cabin boy on the vessel he stowed away on and put to hard labor, which made him physically stronger than most his age, being about 16 at this time, when the vessel was attacked by pirates he, and the rest of the crew were held captive while the pirates raided their ship, this being a merchant vessel who had not seen combat in several years. The captan of that pirate ship saw him and saw the potential for a great pirate, dressed in just above rags, and looking a little thin but I still had the fire of youth, He asked me if I wanted to join his crew and explained that it would be hard work for the first few years and then I would get used to it. I gladly accepted his offer and have remained to this day a pirate.

Name: Captain May Williams

Position: Captain of the Golden Dragon
Personality: May is a versatile character, but like all of her crew will not hesitate to kill. She has a kind and caring nature that almost no one has seen, but it will occasionally come out. She can fly into a horrible temper, but also has a cunning and clever side that has seens her through any and all situations. She is tough and tolerates no mutiny or stealing from the stash of treasure. Nothing escapes her notice, not a pirate slapping the cabin boy, not a coin missing from the stash, or even the smallest mouse traisping about on the ship.
Appearance: May is a beautiful woman, but her toughness makes some fear her. Those who have heard only tales of her might think her ugly, so are surprised when they find her with long, silky black locks and golden hoops accentuating a dark tan skin and brown eyes. She wears mostly loose black and gold breeches with a white tunic and black and gold captain's jacket over. Her hat is also black with a gold trim and a golden dragon on the inside.
History: May Williams was just a babe when her entire town was ransacked by pirates, destroying her family and home. The captain of the pirates could not kill a babe, so he took her in to be raised as a true pirate. Sure enough, she grew up to be strong and agile, wielding a blade and gun with as much, if not more, skill and accuracy as any man. When the captain, who she had thought of as a father, died when she was sixteen and named her as Captain with his last dying breath. At first, the crew was outraged, but she earned their respect quickly by thwarting all attempts at mutiny and bringing them more than a tidy sum on her first pillage. She proved her worth to them, and now all her crew is loyal to her.
Kagenoku, I have a question for you. You said that the captain of the pirate ship who took you on was a man. Does that mean that you are of a different pirate crew than the Golden Dragon, or that you switched crews, or what?

It was a beautiful day, with the sun shining brightly on the open water and a good strong wind filling the sails and blowing her black tresses back. Captain May Williams of the Flying Dragon took a deep breath, something almost like the semblance of a smile covering her pretty, if harsh, face. She could hear the grunts and good-natured shouts of some of her crew taking a short break and involved in some boxing fight. Of course, she would never permit any fighting among the crew unless it was good-natured. The ship creaked slightly as she held the wheel steady, keeping a sharp eye on the horizon for any foreign sails. She looked down at the large form lying by her feet, who raised his head and whined slightly. This time, she really did smile as the huge wolf got to his feet and shoved his snout into one of her hands. He was so large that his head came up to her shoulder, an Artic wolf she had found on her travels and had tamed. He was not only her companion, but her bodyguard. He lay down again as she turned her attention to her crew, shouting more orders at slackers. They didn't need to know she was in a good mood.

Position: First mate
Personality: Sameya has a strong sense of honour, and will not kill anyone unless it is in a fair fight, or if she thinks they're going to start a fair fight. Or if they annoy her, or steal her lunch. Many are surprised that she is not a pirate, but her mother was raped and murdered by pirates, so she has a strong hatred for them. She is very loyal, and kind to little children. No one else. Hear me?
Appearance: 5'7" tall, slender with wiry muscles. Has long, black hair that she usually keeps braided and fierce blue eyes. She has a long scar on one cheek from a pirate many years ago, when she was young.
