Has anyone seen that show by the name of House? Well, I've only watched it once, and, guess what!
It was the episode where this woman is pregnant, doesn't want an abortion, and the baby's killing her by shutting down her organs and such. However, the doctor (House) says to have an abortion, and the woman insists on having it. Then, House's boss, a woman who is around the same age as the dying woman, wants the dying woman to carry through with the pregnancy. House insists, at the beginning that the fetus is just a "fetus," and never calls it a "baby" or a "child."
However, when surgery time comes around and he sees the baby's hand, he suddenly decides that this is a baby and not a fetus.
rolleyes
EDIT:: I know that they respected the woman's choice, but I'm not upset at the woman's choice. I'm upset with the fact that just because House sees a hand or two, he thinks it's a 'baby' and not a 'fetus.'

yeah, i love that show, but that episode irritated me. i was all "yay House" at the beginning, then at the end i was all scream .
for Chrissake, you people are doctors, come on now. on the other hand, there was an epsiode of CSI where Katherine was investigating a murder and one of the people she wound up talking to was this creepy pro-life lady who went on and on about how the zygote is a person, yada yada yada. i can't remember what Katherine said to her, but it must have been bad, because Grisam (didn't spell his name right...) wasn't too happy with her. that was when she explained that she believed in a choice. WHOO, GO CSI!

That's so stupid. They're doctors, I'm sure they know what a fetus looks like. I think it's all cause of the media and wanting people to be pro-"life". If I was that lady, I'd sue the guy.

WHOO, GO CSI! She was dealing with the Sunflower society - people who find surrogates to carry embryos that would be discarded to term. One of the surrogates wanted to keep the baby after birth, but the genetic mother wanted her too (and the original plan was to give it to the genetic mother). She basically ragged on the sunflower society woman for being so concerned with embryos when there were thousands of children out there in need of adopting. She was appalled that so many resources were dedicated to embryos instead of born children. Grisam was upset with her, not because of her beliefs, but because she permitted herself to become emotional and cross the line between professional and unprofessional.

*shudders*
I can't stand the sight of blood and cutting up into people's bodies, so I am not surprisingly a fan of medical-related shows.

Does Dr. House actually say "It's a baby" (or something to that effect) or is it implied?
I'm curious, haven't watched that ep.

Which episode is that? 'Cause I know there's one where there's a pregnant woman and she's all "Don't worry about me, save my bebe!" And that's what happens.
Series 3 only just started here in the UK, so if it's later than s3 e3 I've just been spoilered. : (

He calls it a "baby," and the used-to-be-dying woman says something to the effect of, "that's the first time you've called it a baby."
