Just wondering. The title sums it up pretty well. I mean, I have never classified myself emo. I only like it here because people share the same views as me on alot of things. I like "emo" music and the fashion but i haven't ever cut my wrists and i get down sometimes but im not depressed.
So I was just wondering, who here actually classifies themselfs "emo" and who doesnt.

I'm pretty sure none of us, or anyone for that matter, is a type of music. DISCUSSION OVER. LOCK.

Yes I agree with you that its a style of music but lately I think that it has evolved into a way of life (to some people out there) so i am not necessarily incorrect.

I don't classify myself as "emo" though all my friends say I am. *shrug* I just like the music and the new "emo/scene style"
p.s. I am well aware that emo is a genre of music but as A.Box.Of.Sharp.Objects said people have been associating a style of fashion with emo

Nope. I wouldn't even try and dress in the emo style, I think it sucks.

We've been pretty much fighting to make you all understand that emo is music. It is in no way, shape, or form a style.
