Lefika lay outside the mouth of the cave, sunning herself. The cubs were asleep deep inside. She worried about them sometimes, honestly... it wasn't that they fought... Sepoko didn't fight at all. But that was just the thing. Ajabu had learned, quite well, to take advantage of little Sepoko and Sepoko never stood up for himself. Lefika was starting to learn to see through the ruses that Ajabu put up, but it barely helped; if Ajabu was getting in trouble, Sepoko went out of his way to get in trouble too. It was a touching gesture, but the eldest cub didn't seem to appreciate it one bit.
But the sun was relaxing, warming... it almost made her forget. It was nice to get some time to herself for once. She peacefully watched the rustling of the leaves in the trees, and the birds going by... but she grew weary of having to see the same sights every day. At least she had her stick, now, with which she could paint upon her cave walls... bless the God Kazi for it. She wore it tucked behind her ear now, as he wore his paintbrush. It was at least partially an homage to him... but she also thought it looked sharp.

Danso traipsed ahead of Siri, eager to get to their destination of the secret hideout that he had heard of from a few traveling hyena.
"Come on Siri, Its not much further." He said, a wide grin on his face.
"Yeah yeah, I hear ya," Said Siri, who was a few feet behind, taking his sweet time. He was only glad now that Siri didn't have to carry him around when they needed to make distance quick. Now he was big enough to walk by himself and still keep up.
"So did you learn what is actually ahead of us? Or could it be some monster that I really don't feel like confronting today?" This wasn't the first time that Danso had led him to what they thought was a good thing, but then have it turn out pretty bad in the end. "I don't want this to be another elephant graveyard experience." He glared at the back of Danso's head as he walked, hoping the penetrating glare would annoy him enough to recheck himself and what he was leading them into.
"I promise you it will be fine. Its just a cave that I learned of while you were resting, from some traveling hyena's They said it was safe and that we would be welcomed."
'yeah right.' Thought Siri... How could that ever happen. He had been traveling most of his childhood. Why would anyone accept him now.
Danso was now a further bit ahead then he was before and Siri had almost stopped in his tracks. He felt the briefest pull of his soul. Looking to his right he starred into the deep woods, wondering what that feeling was. He became so lost in thought that he didn't see that Danso was now out of sight.
"Danso! Hey Danso! Where'd you go?" He yelled. Picking up some speed traveling along the path and looked for him left and right. 'Where could he have gone? ' He thought, 'the path only goes one way.'
Once again that tugging sensation started... He Turned towards the forest, wondering if it was Danso that his subconscious was trying to lead him to. He stepped through the dense foliage and made his way, following that light pull. He traveled about 20 minutes before coming upon a sunny little clearing. The sun was so bright at first that it made Siri Blink his crystal green eyes to focus through the light. Once adjusted though he could see a rock side about 6 times as tall as he was.
Looking up he thought he saw a paw hanging over the ledge. The colors were right, and without taking a second glance he trotted over to some lower rocks that led to the top, where the paw rested. He climbed it with ease, but when he got to the top he was shocked and disappointed in the paw not belonging to Danso. It was someone who he had never seen before.

Below her and in the distance, Lefika heard some voices shouting. She chose to ignore them; they probably weren't coming this way, and even so they were no matter to her. This was her time. Her time alone. She smiled in the shining sun and rolled over to warm her other side, letting one spotted paw hang over the side.
After some time laying about, half-dozing, she was alerted to the sound of some scrambling along the side of the rock face where her den was situated. Her ears swiveled, and she propped herself up lazily to peek over the edge. Down below she saw a young dark-colored lion struggling to get up the side of the rock. She snorted with disdain. If he was trying to snoop about her home, he'd have to go through her first. Lefika had thought that Koda had clearly scent-marked the area, but apparently this kid just wasn't paying attention. She kept a single silver eye on him until he reached the ledge where her den sat. With a blank expression she looked him over, neither pleased nor displeased. She only wondered what his business was here. This was the first time in a long time Lefika had ever called one place her own, her territory, and she was not yet used to the ettiquite. "Can I help you?" she inquired, tail lashing.
