Like she did so often, and usually after being treated to lectures on exactly why she shouldn't, Uziri was out wandering again. As adventures went today was certainly lacking - she'd seen none of the friends she'd made on previous excursions out into the world, and missed them. She walked along in the park a few blocks from her house with her hands in her pockets, kicking stray pebbles from her path and her shadow aura dragging behind her like a depressed octopus.
Uziri didn't quite realize it, but she was lonely.

"Serra! Serra, please!" Addie was chasing after the little girl zooming around on the cloud and giggling happily. Serra was getting a lot bolder since her growth spurt. She could say little words and was toddling about and, much to Addie's displeasure, had better control over her shroud.
Then again, shroud wasn't the best word for it anymore. It had morphed into a little storm cloud that, when Serra was mad at Addie, had a habit of raining on the furniture and creating a musty smell.
"Play!" Serra squealed, clapping her hands as she bounced on the little cloud. "Plaaaaaaaaay! Swing."
"Yes, swing! But I can't put you on the swing if you don't slow down!" She wasn't prepared to be running after her, darn it!

Uziri perked up at the sounds of laughter, looking around wide-eyed. Where was that coming from? She wandered in the direction of the sound, shadow aura still dragging behind her and leaving wiggly marks in the dirt.
"Hellooooolo," she called, still looking around. "Somebodies there?"

The little voice made Serra pause in her zoomings and her little head turned, curls tossing themselves into her face and getting caught in her mouth. She made a face, spit them out, and then called out, "Hiiiiiii!"
Not that she could see what the source of the hello was, but hey, if someone said hello it was right to say hi back! Of course it was hard to really understand Serra at that point since she always sounded a little bubbly as if she was speaking into water. Or underwater.

Hope bloomed inside Zee, and she launched into a run.
"I'm heeeere," she called. "Hiiiii!"
She didn't notice the treeroot in her path, unfortunately. She tripped and rolled, giving a yowl of surprise and jumping up again, ready to strike down the unseen assailant, clumsy karate chops and all. Her attention fled back to the new person immediately and she resumed running, and looked around the playground. It was deserted, except for...
"Hey! You has blue hair. And a cloud-thing," she said, skittering up to the new girl and pointing her features out in a tone that clearly stated the girl herself didn't know they were there.
