Some of us have already gone through this. We know how it feels behind the counter. But does everybody else know? Well if you dont have a job behind the counter as a gamestore employee.

If I were to get a job in the gaming industry I would prefer getting a marketing job.

something like what the vendor do.

they set up the demo units.

inform the employees.

give freebies.

first dibs on 1st party stuff from their company.

DON'T WORK FOR GAMESTOP/EB, unless you want to waste large amounts of time and energy stressing over a high-pressure sales position where you are grossly underpaid and overworked (much like a cell phone store).

I was a store manager of a Gamestop for over 3 years, nearly killed me. gonk

Marketing rep positions for Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo are way sweet though.
