Hey everybody. You guys may be thinking where the heck did i pull this question out of but it's somthing that me and my brothers have really been thinking about. Hopefully you guys know what chips i'm talking about. but if not, they're basically rice-sized little microchips that can be implanted into the human body. Right now they are used mostly on animals, not humans. However, in some places like Mexico, that is not the case. There, patients already have these chips planted inside them. Doctors use them because they have all the patient's medical information including blood type, etc. They can retrieve this info by simply scanning the chip. Also, some government officials already have them implanted in their arms. They alow them access to secured areas. They are hoping that they can get the rest of the officials, police, etc. implanted with chips as well. Right now these developers are working so that a persons physical location can be tracked by these chips. At first it sounds really cool. But then again, think about it. Something put in the human body to keep track of them? Not to mention what other breakthroughs they may develop with the chips. Perhaps the mark of the Beast isn't necessarily going to be a tattoo on everybody's forehead and hand.

After I had read most of the Left Behind series, I heard about these chips and thought that this could very well be the mark that the Bible mentions. Many people think that things in the Bible are just stories or metaphors, but today's technology shows us that these things are coming to pass.

I agree! It is absolutely possible that this could be the mark of the beast. This is something I have been contemplating for quite some time now.

While speaking of modern technology that could correspond with things in the bible (or in this case, Revelations), you guys know about what it says in Rev. 9: 7-10Quote: Rev. 9:7-10 KJV "7And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months."

Well I've always believed the end of the world would be in my lifetime; even before I became a Christian.
It's totally possible that the Mark of the Beast would be a microchip or something of the like. Hopefully, most Christians will be smart enough to recognize it for what it is and steer clear.

The mark of the beast...Interesting...Perhaps, but maybe it would be something else? Who knows, God doesn't tell things straight out. It would be too easy for us if he did. God wants us to be able to understamd what he means to prove that we know him, so we can't ever realize exactly what he's talking about. He could mean such a microchip or as simple as a tattoo. Nobody knows......

I do believe Jesus will be coming back quickly.... but I'm not sure about the microchips being the mark of the beast.... and I heard about the apache thing before.... makes sence to me.... but I still have my doubts... 3nodding

even if those microchips aren't going to be the mark of the beast, i still dont like the idea of someone sticking something inside of my body so they can track me or whatever.

What ever happens, the Lord is in control. So there's not much you have to worry about when talking about the end times, just that you try to reach anyone the Lord has put in your life to reach for Him. It's all up to Him tho... even the entire reaching out part.

I am against getting that chip in my hand -I think- and not just because it could be the Mark of the Beast, think of the medical issues. What if it malfunctioned and damages nerves....
Anyway, back on topic. To everything there is something that comes before. These chips could just be preparing people for what is to come later. Think about it, right now it's just a simple tracking decive..next it will have your bank info, credit, health, dental, and school records imbedded on it. People will not need money anymore because it will all be controlled through the 'Chip."
Think about this. The average person does not carry around cash like they use to because it's a lot easier to use a credit/debit card, even fast food places, the places that use to accept nothing but cash, have even started accepting cards (at least here). Why? Because it's a lot easier and you don't have to worry about loose change. The United States has gone from Cash, to Checks, to the Conveience of a Credit Card, we are evolving into a paperless Society. Will it really be so hard for people to make the switch from Credit Cards to having a chip in their arm? Something that they don't have to worry about misplacing?
Better question, if it came to that, would you, as a Christian, get that chip embedded in your skin?

I don't think that these implants will be the MOTB (Mark of the Beast), because I believe it will be a bit more obvious than this. I am certain that the marks will leave some sort of physical evidence on your skin. I am also certain that you would have to make the choice of choosing the mark or dying. It certainly isn't that bad now. I definitely believe the Left Behind perspective and theories.
No, I would never choose that mark. I wouldn't even want a chip in my body either, even if it supposed to help me.
