Hair
Daya’s smooth strands are thick and heavy, usually tied up in some fashion. No matter how much sunlight she is subjected to only the tips ever lighten, the rest stay a steady medium brown.
Eyes
Her eyes are expressive and clear, their color a vibrant gold with flecks of green near the iris. Her eyes make it impossible to hide her emotions as their shape and color seem to change with her whims.
Skin
Her skin deepens to a dusky honey brown in the summer and slowly fades to toffee with the suns deprivation. The skin that attaches her wings to her back is dark brown and leathery in texture.
Everything else
Her nose is her favorite feature, a straight and splendid nose that might not quite fit her face. Without her nose, she declares, she would be a broken compass. Many wish they could remove her mouth all together as those two fleshy things spout nothing but absurdity and trivial remarks. But she is fond of it too, and would miss it greatly if it ever were to suddenly disappear. Her clothing is frequently a dress of some sort with a low back seeing as she has three extra appendages that refuse to be pinned down or hidden.
Likes
Books are Day's greatest loves and she will gladly read anything placed in front of her. Her favorites usually contain any of the following: brain teasers, riddles, random facts, anything mysterious or bizarre, oddities, and dinosaurs. She also loves strangers because they give her opportunity to spread her 'wisdom'.
Dislikes
Horses scare the crap out of Day and the child has yet to ever encounter one in person. The phobia seems to be more instinct than anything else.
Personality
Daya learned to speak uncommonly early and from that day on always had something to say. She quickly developed into quite the social butterfly and universally accepted nerd. She is naturally drawn to strangers and although her ramblings may come as a surprise at first eventually you get used to it. She has also been known to lug around a book and take a seat on the nearest lap; that bubble of personal space we’re all so used to has never existed to her. When not engrossed in a book of some kind she will almost always be spotted with her pile of homework, hurrying to finish so she can play make-believe with the other Incantations. Her favorite role is that of he evil dragon who asks the knight riddles before he can rescue the princess but her stubbornness usually leads to tail pulling.
Unfortunately if anyone tends to balk when their comfort zone is, well, stomped upon, best thing to do is to avoid Day altogether. She doesn’t always take the hint and this can result in crossing the same line over and over. As she gets older she will learn to control herself and perhaps even develop a sense of discretion.
Abilities
Besides Day's natural abilities to soak up useless information and eat food at an unnatural rate her wings are also very functional. They flutter very fast, like a hummingbirds, and allow her to skip the trouble of walking altogether. If she has any other abilities it is unknown at this time.

Hair
At first glance one may find themselves perplexed by the variety of inconsistent features she displays. Her straight strands are a fiery red and cut in a rather childish manner, due in the most part to Nen’s insistence in cutting her own hair.
Eyes
Above her button like nose glow two meadow green eyes which provide the perfect contrast to her spicy look.
Skin
She claims her red hair is due to Irish heritage but unlike such northerners her skin is a rather toasted tan.

Backround
The Griffin or Gryphon is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was considered the "King of the Beasts" and the eagle the "King of the Air", the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffin is generally represented with four legs, wings and a beak, with eagle-like talons in place of a lion's forelegs and feathered, equine ears jutting from its skull. Some writers describe the tail as a serpent, in the manner of a chimera. See the entry Saint George and the Dragon for a nineteenth-century painting showing a dragon very like a classically-conceived griffin.
The griffin was said to build a nest, like an eagle: instead of eggs, it lays agates, and thus griffins are supposed to be female. The animal was supposed to watch over gold mines and hidden treasures, and to be the enemy of the horse. The incredibly rare offspring of griffin and horse would be called hippogriff. The Griffin was named after a great man.
Griffins were consecrated to the Sun; and ancient painters[citation needed] represented the chariot of the Sun as drawn by griffins. The griffin was a common feature of "animal style" Scythian gold; it was said to inhabit the Scythia steppes that reached from the modern Ukraine to central Asia; there gold and precious stones were abundant; and when strangers approached to gather the stones, the creatures would leap on them and tear them to pieces.
A griffin (spelled "gryphon") is featured in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland in which the Queen of Hearts' orders the gryphon to take Alice to see the Mock Turtle and hear its story.
