there is speculation abound that one of the title characters is leaving after this season. So do you guys think someone is gonna leave and if so who and why?

There aren't any title characters.
Unless you count Clark, since "Smallville" is one of his nicknames.

A title character is a character whose name is contained in the title of the show, e.g. Amélie from Amélie.

I dunno who it could be. I hope it's Lionel though if they are getting rid of a main character... His character 'flip flops' way to much for me to stand anymore. rolleyes I could live without Lana as well, but I think the writers think she's to importiant of a character to get rid of....

Lex is one of the main things that has helped out that character. As long as shes not being Drama Queen Lana Lang then I'm fine with it.
But the character that I hope they don't get rid of is Chloe. I like her so much!!!

Actually Clark is the reason why she is emo. The break up and now not being able to be with him. Lex is actually just there for her and made her happy... for a little while in Clark's absense.

Yeah thats pretty much why I can tolerate Lana is because she is with Lex.

In the beginning it was because of her no parents deal, then henry small and clark, then adam, then jason and the stones, then the 2nd meteor shower and the ship, now lex and clark again.
