Pumbaa liked being alone now. He enjoyed it almost. He was lonely at times-at night mostly but otherwise the life of this warthog was a good one. A retired one persay. He was a bachalor for life-free to wander and do what he did. He did grow sad when we traveled and saw the lives of others-families. Pumbaa hadn't seen another warthog in years. He was sad-he wanted a life. Now he walked, his black eyes glittering with his years of experiance. He was old-but he wasn't beyound his years. Quick as ever and just as cunning/though slow sometimes. That was normal.
He walked along this new path through the grove of dead tree's. A small river was near by. What a nice area-he liked it here. He liked the smells. He liked it alot. There was mud near by-a wonderful pasttime. He was lonely for some conversation though.

Like Pumba, Tu lived alone, old, yet not past his years. The aged wolf was more cunning and sly than any other mane wolf in the area. Though there where fewer this year, Tu felt confident that this years hunts where going to go just as smoothly as all the other years. He’d had so much solitary time, that he had found it amusing to see how close he could get before his intended target spotted him, or was spooked away. Today how ever, was different, he’d seen only one hog, and that was a long time ago. He was running with his pack then, and spotted it at a watering hole a few meters away. He had no interest in the rumors that these creatures where just as ruthless as a lion, but meaner… Again, this was a rumor and not from what he had seen or experienced. Today, he had been stalking, a particular creature. A warthog. It’d carried on with its marry life, but it seemed at times that this hog was un-amused with his situation. Unlike Pumba how ever, Tu enjoyed, and almost loved the fact that he lived alone. Not needing to worry about the reaction of other because of his actions. The mane wolf wasn’t large, but he was much taller and lengthier than most other wolves. This gave him more speed and stealth, but he made sure not to spook the hog as he purposely stepped onto a twig, which snapped, then he found another, then clearing his throat as he stepped from the ferns and directly in front of Pumba. Looking down to the stout animal he had a wicked grin displayed across his face, but it was friendly at the same time. ”New to the community?” His question was short and simple, and very blunt. It would keep things simple if the pig just simply wanted to move around him and carry on with his day. Then again, he wanted to let the animal know that it was trudging through his territory, and giving away an intimidating scent, this animal could seriously hurt another, if not kill an enemy. So, just to be on the safe side, Tu wanted to resemble a friendly creature and attempt not to get into a fight, but if it boiled down to it, Tu would do his best to kill the beast. If he was able to kill it how ever… there would be plenty of meat for a long time… An interesting endeavor to say the least!((OOC: Wow, I like that set up, I think I'm-a copy you when I make posts for Tu. I like that set up ALOT! *snugs* Love you baby girl!))

Pumbaa had so much time to think-to ponder the listless life he lived. Eat-sleep-be merry. Was that life? He wanted more-he wanted the little sounds of babies to fill his head-his evolutionary clock was clicking loudly. Pumbaa wanted to fulfill the reason he was on this earth, to thrive and prospher. His clock was ticking and his life was aging to fast. These thougths filled the mind of the intelegent yet sometimes handicapped pig. He sighed, looking up at he sound of someone approaching, or perhaps just a branch breaking with the force of the wind or some unseen being. He blinked as the muzzle of a maned wolf broke the foliage. He stepped back a bit, his nervousness apparent. He took in the red creatures apperance. Strong and lithe-he hadn't seen many of these things before. The scar across the eye gave him the impression of hard times but he chose to not bring that up.
Not entirely new-just wandering about-I tend to do that alot these days He said, looking the dog up and down. The patterns that grew from the wolfs dark legs were interesting. Perhaps this creature in himself would be intersesting. He hadn't been interested in a while- in much of anything.

The Mane Wolf walked around the animal and chuckled to himself that sounded some what like a deep growl. The he stood beside the animal and grinned, ”Well then, if it’s alright with you, mind if I join in your merry walk? He took a few sniff towards the animal and could tell that he could be one to own a very offensive odor. For now how ever, he smelt rather clean, but of course, every being had it’s own scent. Even different patches of grass had their own identity. Scent, something Tu related everything too. He had memorized many scents, and this animal’s scent by far would be the easiest to remember. Offensive, yet… friendly, in a weird kind of way; In any case, this was an individuals way of identifying… things. The long limbed wolf simply stood next to the pig until he would start walking, or denied his presence. If that was the case, the wolf, almost half excited about that particular moment, would chase this hog off his lands, and if possible, use his flesh as his next meal. For now how ever, the pig was safe from the hound’s jaws.
It was the first time as well, for him to be hanging around a lesser mammal, but it felt alright. There wasn’t any thing out of place or at least he seemed that way, and he was content just standing next to something that didn’t run form him, or try and chase him off. Looking back down to Pumba, he gave another sly smile, ”My name is Tu, and yes, I’m the only wolf in the immediate area.”

Pumbaa was startled that this lithe creature would want to talk to a humble pudge like him. He wasn't the most attractive animal in the lands and he knew it-who would want to hang out with a pig like him. He wasn't about to ask the fellow if he wanted to reconsider but to accept the company. He smiled nervously-looking at the tall creature with his beady eyes. He had never been around a wolf-thing. Erhm, no not at all. Join me. He said, smiling warmly. His tail curled a tad at the end- his long tail that was one of his favorite features on his body.
He wasn't an attractive animal but he sure liked certain aspects of himself. I'm Pumbaa... he said simply-excited that there were no other lithe deer-dogs around here

Tu looked to the pig and began his slow, slow walk. The pig’s short legs wouldn’t be able to keep up with him without moving to a trot, and he didn’t want to break this animal’s comfort in any case. Looking up he sniffed at the air for any possible dangers, and smelt nothing. Looking back to Pumbaa he gave a less sly smile and friendlier, he was trying his best not to be a p***k about any thing, the animal had so many flaws, from the way he stood to the way he blinked. But some how, the wolf found it interesting enough not to point out, it almost seemed to look perfect for him, Pumbaa pulled off, humble and comfortable very well. Something Tu found hard to do, well not being humble, but being comfortable or content with any situation. Any thing could go wrong, at any moment, and he had grown up to stand on his toes and be ready for any thing. ”Pumbaa… It fits you nicely. So what brings you to these parts? Simply wandering I presume.”

Pumbaa smiled warmly and nodded his thanks too the wolf. He as a charming fellow-this red dog. He walked with a waddle-his short and slightly bow-legged. It was his nature-he was a warthog and their tendancy to be ugly was high. Pumbaa did not seem himself as unfit to be called attractive but-he was no the prettiest flower in the jungle. He knew it. For some reason it was his way of speaking and his way or loving life that made him happy. He was over all happy.
"I wander all the time actually-I don't stay much of everywhere... not many creatures enjoy my company so i tend to be alone-alot. But I am used to it-its not so bad being alone." He said with a smile, his tail curling at the tip.

Looking away he listed to Pumbaa, he quietly thought to himself. When he was done talking he looked back down, he was used to it, and obviously from the tone f voice, could have nearly lived with any one who could accept him. He smiled and chuckled quietly, ”You know, living alone isn’t all that bad. You don’t have to worry about what other animals are going to think of you. I live alone as well, but I’ve actually learned how to enjoy my solitary life style. It’s really quite nice. Lately though… The first time he let his voice get bitter, ”Things have been walking right into my territory not heeding to any of my borders… Looking to Pumbaa, his face shifted and smiled again, ”But then again, look what it’s brought me. An interesting fellow to talk too!

Pumbaa walked tried to walk at the same pace as the wolf did-found it to be a bit difficult but he would not complain. He rarely did. He simply enjoyed the strangers-not so strange-company and smiled warmly. His beady black eyes gazed upwards at the mentioning of living alone. He made a small laugh and shut his eyes. I am used too it-at first being alone was very very lonely for me. I do also enjoy being alone now and then-but friendly converstation is appreaciated. He said, shrugging his small shoulders. He lowered his nose too the ground for a moment, scenting a recent bug crossing when he caught the second part of the wolfs words-a bit slowly.
He looked up and seeing the wolf smiling-he smiled too. I didn't know it was your land-if I knew-i'd probbly have kept off it... just to be nice He said with a laugh, tossing his head back.

((OOC: Okay, it’s taken me a bit longer than I expected… *sigh* But nonetheless I replied before you got to college! *Snugs* I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!!!)) Looking down briefly to Pumbaa he smiled and slowed his pace so the wart hog could walk comfortably. He sighed, as he felt relaxed. Taking a quick look around he noticed that there wasn’t any sound coming from the jungle. He paused her looked around, a deep growl emitted from his throat, intimidating to say the least… Looking to Pumbaa and with a bark commanded him to the floor of the ground, “DOWN!” Turning quickly he moved to a high stump with a single bound he was to the top and looking around. Off in the distance there were the sounds of deep growling and the sounds of trees crashing to the forest floor. He looked back to the wart hog and smiled, ”Sorry, I didn’t mean to frighten you, it’s just that there’s been strange things going on lately, and I didn’t want you getting hurt. It’s strange… Birds just drop out of the sky, but it’s only seconds later that there’s the sound of thunder. I’ve also seen other animals drop and quickly after the sound of thunder. I can’t really explain it… but I don’t think I’ll be staying here much longer.”

Pumbaa dropped like he had been clobbered in the head with a stone, hitting the ground like a dead weight. Boom He lay there, his little legs sticking out from his body like sticks. He lay there until the wolf returned and he struggled to stand-having to work a bit with his tongue sticking out.
Pumbaa listened for a moment before pausing and looking around confused for a moment. He then lifted his chin and stared at the sky for a moment, his mouth hanging open and exposing his tusks fully. Birds falling out of the skies? The sky is where the birds are supposed to be-he knew that. They didn't often fall out of the sky-they had a magic too them- that kept them in the air. Pumbaa had always thought it had something to do with what they ate-since he himself experianced alot of gas-they must have it too-how else would they fly?
Not stay here anymore? The birds are up in the sky though-they aren't down here... they should be fine as long as you don't float up there with them-then you might have to worry... Just a little though

Tu stood next to the pig for a second then began to walk off in the opposite direction of the sounds. ”These events aren’t to be trifled with, if I where you, I wouldn’t settle here…” He slowed down after a few steps remembering that Pumbaa had a much shorter stride. The pace he kept would be more than a comfortable speed for the hog. The sounds continued and he growled deeply as the sound of thunder echoed through the air, it was more close than last time, looking down to Pumbaa he picked his pace up and in a more rushed tone he spoke again, ”I hope you can keep a good pace, these sounds are close enough to kill us.” He hadn’t wanted this, but nobody ever did, so he would do what any other animal would do, pick up themselves and move on with their life else where. Already many of the pray had moved away from these parts and hunting was getting even harder since the thunder began to haunt the forests. ”So tell me Pumbaa, have you been to any quiet prides lately? I’m interested in moving else where…” In fact this was the moment he decided he was going to move, maybe to the Pridelands, they where not to far away and they accepted almost any one who had a decent head on their shoulders. If he played his cards good enough he would be able to live alone and not be bothered by any one within those lands.

Pumbaa shook his head slowly. All this talk about-what ever those things were-was making him dizzy-or hungry. Perhaps he was hungry. He looked up at the maned wolf and nodded-he didn't want to triffle in the affairs of weird noises. He did not. I didn't plan on staying. I don't like to stay in one place anymore-its better for me to travel. He said, panting slightly, as he began to tire.
He looked up and smiled. I tend to stay away from prides-since they devour critters like me often He said with a nervous laugh.

”Well in any case, you can bet that I wont devour you.” He looked down after he spoke then stopped and looked off in some seemingly random direction, ”Pumbaa, I think I may have found you a new home.” Off in the distance was a waterfall, and the strange thing was that the waterfall came from a tall enough cliff to where most animals would find it difficult jumping or even climbing up. This wasn’t what would get any ones attention how ever; it was the fact that the waterfall came out of a large cave. Maybe a natural spring was hid within. Either way, he would be able to live here, be safe from any immediate danger, and have all the fresh water and mud to wallow in for a lifetime! ”If your interested I can scope it out for you.” ((OOC: Hey Split, aren’t you able to RP your Nana yet? I know you don’t actually have her yet but you sent in the trade right? Maybe we could find here in this thread, or if you want I could make a new thread?))

Pumbaa chuckled. There was this law-it was the law of 'prey and predator' and Pumbaa knew it well. He had played the game of nature and nature hadn't won yet. He waddled along after the maned wolf. Yes, but you have to admit... you have eatten meat before and I have plenty of meat... if I must say so myself. He said sticking out his chest a bit. The truth was-pumbaa was not fat in reality... he was what a warthog was supposed to look like. The fact that he was well fed and slept well, kept his appearance-better than most... but after all... Warthogs are ugly. **xDD** though he found himself extremely attractive.
Pumbaa looked up at the sight that made his mouth dro open a bit. He stepped foreward and his long tail wagged like a hyena pups would. He looked over at Tu with a smile, looking back too the waterfall. I bet there are plenty of bugs to eat there! Could you check it out with me? He said, looking up at Tu with watery black eyes
