Due to what has happened in the recent episode, the beautiful moment when House held the babys hand while operating, I remembered a thread from another site. Would House make a good father? Many said he would, and many said no, the main reason being his problem with narcotics. But this episode could probably change views for some people. Yes it shows that he can be emotional(for anyone who doubted), but does that also show that he could make a good father?

He kind of reminds me of an extreme version of my dad - sans the drugs and inappropriate pop culture references. My dad isn't the lovey emotional sort - he's never flat out said "I love you" to me in my entire life, but I know he does. I think House would be that sort of parent.

Same with my dad, yet i still think hes a good parents so would house would be if he became one.

Also since hes a genius when it comes to medical....

My dad was more like that when I was younger. He was nice, but he wasn't there alot. And I was a daddys girl xP, but now he's more there, and he says he loves me. I dont know what it feels like to not have him say I love you, and I'm thankful for that. But I do know the feeling of just knowing someone loves you without words, just not from my dad.

I suppose my dad can be like House..he has that humor and attitude. He's rough and we do fight, but overall hes a good dad, and he got better as time progressed. I think I would consider him more as a more developed House, he was more like House in the past, now he's House with a little more love and compassion. But nothing ever gets rid of that sarcasim and dry humor xD.

I think House would make a dad cause even though he doesn't show it he is a caring person. I think thats part of the reason he doesno't want to meet his paitents because if he does he'll start to care about them.

Well, I supposed one of the biggest things about being a parent is learning to not always put yourself first. So if House can learn to do that (and that's a big if), I think he'd be a fine dad 3nodding .

Well, I'm sure the kid would like him, at least. I sort of dread the kinds of things he'd teach the poor child xd As a matter of fact, I could totally imagine House and the kid having this whole kind of partners-in-crime relationship xd ;;; Which would be cute and funny, if rather irritating to everyone else. I'm sure the rest of the hospital wouldn't appreciate a bunch of little Houses running around.

I did end up crying x3 I cried when I watching it a second time as well. I wonder if I could cry for a third time...hm..

well i think he would make a great father.
not to mention the fact that the person that plays House (Hugh Laurie) has 2 children.
but yes i think he would make a great father because his kids would be raised well.


and as long as Stacy is NOT the mother then that would me fine
