Personality: Extremely standoffish. Suzu has a deep mistrust of pretty much everyone. He doesn’t like to get close to people (though that doesn’t mean it never happens), and he absolutely hates to be touched. He’s a very quiet individual, usually only speaking when he feels it’s necessary. Though he has a cold exterior he’s still a caring individual when it comes to his few friends.

History: Suzu led a pretty happy, normal life for the first 12 years of his life, despite his obvious unnatural physical traits. Most people just attributed that to hair dye and contacts when things couldn’t be hidden. His parents loved him, he had friends, things were good.
One day, when he and his parents were getting ready to go sailing, everything changed. At first, it sounded like thunder, until the blasts got closer and they could hear the ominous whistling of the bombs. In a sudden, deafening crash, their home was reduced to a smoking pile of rubble, engulfed in a sea of flames. When Suzu came to, he found he was trapped under his father, his hand clasped in the cold grip of his mother. Both his parents were dead, and he was trapped with them in the burning tomb that was his home. He didn’t know how long he was trapped there, with the corpses of his family, but it was long enough to feel hunger pains through the rest of his hurts.
Eventually he was extricated from the ruins and brought into a hospital, only, it was unlike any hospital the young boy had seen before. Before long, he found that they would perform tests on him, inject him with things and when he was recovered from his injuries, they began to train him. He had schooling, of a sort, and was trained to fight. When they found that he exhibited signs of fatigue far sooner than most of the other children, more tests were ordered. He was isolated.
Many times he tried to escape and each time the punishment was more severe. Finally, by some stroke of luck, he managed to get out. Stumbling through the streets, barely alive, he found himself back in his old neighbourhood, though it looked far different from before. It had been years that he had be stuck in his own hell. Strength failing him, he collapsed outside a building. The next thing he knew, he was lying in a warm bed with friendly faces peering down at him. Eventually these people, other young individuals, became his new family.

Personality:
Not very outgoing due to the mutation he sustained. Because Hatori keeps to himself and is gruff and angry many people think he is mean and heartless. This is not true, Hatori always stands up for what he believes is right. Hatori has a soft spot for children and animals and when he trusts someone and they do not judge him he drops some of his gruff and angry demeanor and is very kind. He would give up the shirt on his back to help a friend or what he calls an "innocent."

History:
Very little is known about Hatori because he never speaks about his past. It is known that he was a normal boy until the radioactive fall out from the bomb mutated him painfully. After that he began to roam the city scavenging and hustling people to survive. Due to his lifestyle he became a formidable fighter.

Dietrich

Personality: Caring and calm, Dietrich is very much an older brother figure to Joachim and Suzu. He takes care of them when needed and sorts out problems. Also like a big brother, he is fiercely protective of the two younger men. He’s very analytical and a perfectionist.

History: Of the three boys, Dietrich faired the best after the bombs. He only lost one parent, his mother, and though tragic, he still has his father to fall back on. His father is a doctor, a profession highly sought after, which has ensured their position in Alpha Sector. Not only that, but prior to the bombs, Dietrich had been studying in the medical field at Stanford, to follow in his father’s footsteps. This was never really something that Dietrich wanted to do, but he went through with it anyway. After the bombs, he couldn’t finish his training since things became so chaotic, but his father taught him what he could when time permitted. Now that things have settled down a bit, Dietrich is back to his studies. In truth, he really doesn’t care for things in Alpha and prefers to spend time with Joachim and Suzu in the shop in Sector 5. When he can, he helps them out with work or cash. The only reason he stays in Alpha is because it’s actually the best way to help his friends.
In recent months, he began making an effort to help out various resistance factions against the dictatorship they now live under. Joachim and Suzu have also become a part of it, unbeknownst to anyone else.

Personality: Very laid back sense of humor, conservative, loves a good joke, Will give the shirt off of hisback for a friend in need is it comes to that. Has a great zest for life and loves the boys a little too much, very masculine so that no one notices.

History: 5 years old when the pulse happened and was raised in the slums by his grandmother since, both parents killed. Works the streets, sells stolen merchandise to help his grandmother make enough to keep the slum cops off of her back. Trails the open roads everyday looking for the next thing that would bring in money. Had a boyfriend who died of TB from inhaling the dust that was polluting the slums as well as gasses. Has not been the same since and is a little cold towards interested patrons.
