According to Damon Albarn himself the next single from Demon Days will be DARE. The single will be released around late August. So what do you think about it??? I personally like the song a lot but don't know if it is wise to make this song the next single, since the majority of the songs are darker compared to DARE and Feel Good Inc....your turn....GO!!!

i thought dare was cool (i cant figure out tha bas line thou) but i dont think its a good move to make it a single

i don't know, I think that making it the next single could actually be a good move. Even if people don't think it will be, who knows? I mean, most of the time when an artist releases a single, they don't expect it to really do anything. Either it will or it won't. Even though people think it may be a bad choice, it could turn out really well.

To me when I heard Dare (my second favorite song on the cd) it just SCREAMED single. I wasn't surprised at all when I heard it was going to be the next single I was just hoping for a roller disco in the music video. xd But from the sounds of it what we're getting is close... just no Russel on roller skates. Yes, for some reason I wanted to see Russel on skates.

Yes, for some reason I wanted to see Russel on skates. i dunno none of the songs on there screamed single to me.. they all tied in together. like how the kids laugh at the end of dirty harry and keep laughing into feelgood inc when the guy starts laughing.

The song is quite good. I think it won't do anything bad, like 19-2000 was cheerful and all!

I'm always excited because new singles mean new videos! xd I'm really hoping that they release a second dvd when they're finished promoting Demon Days, a Phase Two dvd or something. I'd LOVE it if they included commentary on the videos like they did with the Demon Days disc. Hell I'd buy Celebrity Takedown again if they re-released it with commentary. *L*
[Edit] I'm trying to n** this in the bud just to aviod any issues, so if you've seen the Dare video please refrain from talking about it outside the newest announcement thread. Talk all you want there but NOT HERE.
Of course you can still talk about it here if you haven't seen it or if you aren't going to reveal anything about it. Serious, don't even say if you liked it or not here.

I think "Dare" will make a good single, it's a lot of fun and it's just something you don't get bord of easily. In all honesty, they could have released pretty any song and I would have been cool, it's a great c.d.
It is a contrast with the rest of the c.d, so maybe if people buy it expecting the whole c.d. to be poppy and bouncy like "Dare" then they could be dissapointed, but I think that by August most of the people who want the c.d. will have already bought it or heard it through friends so they'll already know.
