Nasiri strode through the pride lands, steps swaying with a natural grace. She wandered from her father's pride. but would return.. For there was never really anything worth staying away from Scarlet Shadows...
"Nothing to do..." She sighed, a practiced pout dancing over her face until she laughed, all traces of petulent princess gone... "Ah well, exploring it is..."
She picked up her pace to a trot, humming softly to herself.

An ebony muzzle rose into the air scenting it for any others, the crowned prince of Le Roi de Sorrow was not in the mood for others company. Or perhaps that was exactly what he needed. His soft blue orbs glancing ocer the lands of nothing that seemed to interest him. His silvery mane lifted in the slight breeze as a distant scent came to him but he decided to let it be rather than go to it as he perhaps normally would.

The wind sang around Nasiri as she pranced along, whispering of different lions far and wide. She tilted her head as the breeze sang of a bold male not far from her, and gave a shrug. Why not go see? Picking up her prancing, playful pace to a quick, bouncy trot, she picked her way through the landscape toward the stranger, wondering if she could make a new friend.

Anu expected the female to passy by him but as he looked out into the distance she was walking towards him. If only she knew what she was getting herself into. The male lifted his head watching her come closer, his eyes full of a loss for all hope. But the expression on the female's face made him think differently....for some reason that he couldn't quite explain himself.

Drawing close enough to read the expression in his eyes, Nasiri hesitated, smiling shyly. She stepped forward again, her gait a now slow walk, and cleared her throat.
"Hello Stranger." She said in her musical voice, a laughter behind the words like a stream bubbling over rocks. "I do not mean to disturb you..."

The desolate male looked to the female, his ears ringing with her voice it was...peculiar. But what was stranger was, she seemed shy yet she had the courage to speak to him? "No disturbance at all m'lady." he replied in his inherited gruff tone. He shrugged it off and decided to try and have a decent converstation with the female, "May I ask what beautiful lioness that I am blessed to meet with on this lovely day?" it seemed strange that words like these could come from a lion so big and with such a deep voice. But besides his large nature from his father he had inherited his mother's more poetic and romantic side. Something he didn't care to have sometimes...

Nasiri smiled, her eyes glinting as she moved forward.
"If you are sure..." She said softly, then bowed her head slightly. "I am Nasiri, a daughter of Scarlet Shadows, a wanderer..."
She gave a little shrug, eyes lighting with mischief. "Might I inquire as to the name and nature of the mysterious male before me?"

His silvered mane picked up with the light breeze and he was distracted for that moment from such a beautiful day, yet he could be torn so inside. He had heard of that damn male, she was with now. He'd rip his throat out...no he wouldn't but if he ever had to see him. Things would not go pretty. He wasn't going to give himself the chance to love again. It hurt to much, his mother was right. But she was happy with her father, but even she had said that took time.
He bowed before her, "I am Anu, Prince of Le Roi de Sorrow." his azure eyes looking to hers with an undoubted charm he seemed to pick up from his friend Iniko. He liked that his father was close to Adrastos it gave him the opportunity to branch out to others but he picked up unnecessary habits. "It's a pleasure to meet you," he didn't want to come on to strong. Thats exactly what he didnt want to do.

"Le Roi de Sorrow?" She echoed in that soft voice of watery music. The dancing wind brushed her mane into her brigh eyes and she shook it aside. "I do not believe I've ever met one of that Pride... Nor have any of my family..."
She gave a joyous smile. "No matter, it is a pleasure to meet you, Anu of Sorrow..."
She bowed her head slightly, the salute of a princess to a prince... Nasiri never really liked to speak of her title as Princess, so she usually just said "Daughter of..." but her natural grace was hard for someone to miss, if they were paying attention...

He shook his head, "We are close, not many travel outside of the lands unless we have to. Not anti-social just a happy, family or so we try," he smiled dimly. It would seem so...he thought as she said his name. He wasn't boastful and he didn't mind what he was called. He really didn't have a nickname seeing as 'anu' really couldn't get any shorter. "Pleasure is all mine." Her voice was sweet and she had an unlimited grace it seemed, he felt horrible not treating her as she should be one so beautiful and deemed elegance. But he couldn't put his heart in anyone yet.

Nasiri smiled wider. A happy family... She had hoped that Scarlet Shadows would leave the rocky ground it had been on since Rellick was gone... Hoped her family would return to being 'happy'... But it would take a little more time...
She shook her head to clear away her thoughts. "That sounds very nice." She smiled. "How about we share the honor of meeting each other, and the pleasure of making a new acquaintence, equally?"

He watched her, some expression fled through her face that made him stop breathing for a moment. Hope. He had given up on it when Daveigh left him and threatened to take his childeren away from him. That sures hell was not going to him. His face turned cold for that moment as he came back to reality, "As you wish, but I'm sure your not going to think I'm much of a pleasure to be around at the moment, m'lady."

Nasiri cocked an eyebrow at him and gave him a sly, knowing smile. It gentled, and she glanced away for a heartbeat. When she spoke, her voice was soft.
"If I wanted to avoid you, just because of your heart-pain, I would not have spoken to you.. I would have avoided you... But it is not in me to ignore the pain of others... And I will not ignore your's... If you wish to speak of it, I will listen... If not, I understand your reservations about consulting with a stranger over such deep matters... But I offer what I can and what I am and hope that will help...'

He rose his brow, "How would you know if its heart pain, perhaps I could have just had a bad day?" he inquired. He was thinking she just felt pity for him and thats exactly what he didn't want. He didn't need pity. He was numb, he didn't feel pain any longer it seemed. It was such a dreary topic for him and his father's pride it seemed or anyone involved.
