I am terrible at working the market place and the exchange forum

I thought I had someone that was willing to trade me horns of the demon for Fuzzy penguin slippers, a fresh grass skirt and 10k. But it turns out that person was merely trying to sell their friends Horns so he could get the skirt and slippers for his girlfriend and that friend of hers is the same guy who had said he would be willing to sell me the horns for 670k pure. The guy sold his horns before I got a chance to liquidate all my letters, but I thought the girl still had horns available so I went ahead and bought the slippers and the skirt to try and trade with her. She finally got on and told me about the fact that she had been trying to get those items as an offer for the dude's horns.

And now I can't sell the skirt or slippers without taking a loss...

thats not too bad then.
I don't bother with the exchange or marketplace.
I only go there if I'm looking specifically to buy something. then I buy cheapest and sell cheaper.

Ok no he doesn't have the gold... he said he would trade me his kandy korn hat for them if I could add something worth 15k to it...
Do Kandy Korn hats sell easy?

The fresh grass skirt was driving me crazy... like no one wanted it... so i think I shall take this offer where I only lose 3k...

Ok yesterday I was trying to get the horns of the demon.
I found a guy who would have traded with me, but he only wanted pure... so I started selling off all my monthly collectible letters. We shall call him Demon. Well when I had liquidated my letters till I had around 500k he said he would trade me for only 670k if I could manage to get the pure together within two hours, because he wanted to get a gift for his GF and was desperate. So I was working on finishing liquidating the letters.
While I was working on selling off the letters I saw a girl who had a thread in the exchange wanting to a fresh grass skirt, penguin slippers, and 10k for her horns of the demon. We shall call her angel.
Anyways back to demon. I had around 600k of the pure when he was like "Oh I sold my horns in the MP nevermind" so I was like sweatdrop . But there was still hope, the girl that I had seen earlier! I could just get her horns! Plus what she wanted for the horns was less than the lowest mp price of the horns at the time. So I traded the rest of my letters and some gold (total value of my offer was 437k) to this guy for his penguin slippers. I tried to get ahold of angel about the horns but she didn't respond... but I bought the skirt from the MP anyways.
Today angel got back to me and told me that her thread had actually been an attempt to sell her friend's horns to help him get the gifts for his GF (since apparently the skirt and the slippers are what he was wanting to get for her) she was like "sorry about the confusion. Demon is the one who had the horns, you should contact him with your offer"
But of course I already knew that demon sold his horns yesterday...

So I bought the skirt yesterday for 242k and sold it today for 239k
The slippers (which I probably should have just kept now that I think about it) I was trying to sell... but ended up merely trading with some guy. trade was slippers + 15k = Kandy Korn hat. Which I guess is a good deal considering the hat is at 450k in the mp and the slippers are going for like 429k.
But I think more people would be into slippers than the hat... so it's going to take forever to sell the hat...
