Just curious... have you ever entered into a debate forum, posted your ideas, and then received a completely illiterate response? Even worse, you can tell the illiterate person attempting to write this response is fighting (and failing) to match you in grammatical correctness and eloquence? Feel free to share your stories...

Lord, yes. It seems to be inevitable. Enter a forum, ask a completely legitimate question, and every time one of your first responses will be something to the effect of:
"LOL UR N00B ITZ EZ!!!11!ONE!!"
I go to forums for help as a last resort only.

Hasn't happened to me yet to my knowledge, but I've seen it happen to other people. It's always good for a chuckle at said flammer's expense.

I don't get flamed because I avoid those forums completely. I am shielded within this guild from stupidity.

Zealot of Insanity I don't get flamed because I avoid those forums completely. I am shielded within this guild from stupidity. Everyone's got their own sanctuaries, mate. Literates have the Gaian Grammar Guild, illiterates have their text-talk armies, cheese lovers got Wisconsin, people of monotheistic religions got their places of worship, General Discussion for the intellectually challenged, etc. Nothing is sacred in the land of electronic board posting...ah well.

Absolutely, it vexes me to the extreme. Then I use their own lingo right back at them to insult them. Since "Txt-Tlk" seems to be the only language they can understand without scratching their heads. --;

I think my favourite mistake is when people say "Jimmy and I" when it actually should be "Jimmy and me" because they want to sound intelligent. IDIOTS!!!

What if you hadn't said "they got" twice in that post? I really enjoy the outrageous quantity of grammatical errors I've encountered within this guild's forum. WuzzeeFuq LAWL?

It would work if you said:
"It was because of Jimmy and me" because without Jimmy, it would be "It was because of me." You wouldn't say "It was because of I." so you wouldn't use "It was because of Jimmy and I."
I think that's how it works anyway.

Well, I believe it's a reasonably understandable paragraph to me. Can you come up with something better? confused Organic Shadows I quote WAY too often, but I'm quoting you. Deal with it.
